Great as always!
Firstly, I have never used any other product on my leather boots so I can't (or rather, won't) use the cliched 'best I've ever used line' ;-)Dead easy to apply, I use my fingers as the heat helps work the wax in, especially if you pick a sunny day. Personally I leave it on the boots, I don't buff them up to leave a polished finish - personal choice I'm sure, probably makes no practical difference. The boots (2 pairs) are still soft, supple & crack free & most importantly, still waterproof 5-6yrs after purchase. It's fairly expensive but a tube lasts me a fair while & it does a good job at protecting expensive boots.

Perfect companion for the Zamberlan boots
Bought this water proofing to protect my newly bought Zamberlan Tofane boots. Both performed admirably.

Why wouldn't you?
Having recently bought a pair of Zamberlan boots, I have decided to use what the manufacturer recommends as it is claimed to be designed specifically for the leather they use. Not the cheapest available but having spent over £200 on the boots which I expect to last many years, a couple of extra pounds on the recommended conditioning/protection cream is niether here nor there. So the cream itself - easily applied and a little goes a long way, the tube should last a long time and there is really nothing much else to say. Seems to work well but only time will tell, really need a winter season to see how it stands up on the hills. Will post an update on how it actually protects the boots in 10 years or so!!

that was an excellent product. But for some reason manufacture of 'Niki ...
Many years ago, the majority of walkers used to apply 'Niki wax from a round tin' onto their leather walking boots; that was an excellent product. But for some reason manufacture of 'Niki wax in a round tin' which could be applied to leather walking boots with ones fingers ceased.Fortunately, I was recommended Zamberlan Hydrobloc Waterprofing Cream by a fellow walker. The price for a single tube is around £7 which I think is good value. My wife and I have used Zamberlan Hydrobloc Waterprofing Cream for quite a few years now, and we are very pleased with it; I find it to be an excellent product. The method I use to apply Zamberlan Hydrobloc Waterprofing Cream to my leather walking boots is as follows;Note: If you decide to follow these instructions, you do so wholly at your own risk;1.) Read the instructions on the Zamberlan Hydrobloc Waterprofing Cream tube.2.) Remove the boot laces to a safe place.3.) Washing the outside of each leather walking boot with water using a brush to remove all traces of mud and grit.4.) Rinse the outside of each leather walking boots with fresh water and allow to dry.5.) Wait until the leather walking boots are dry before proceeding.6.) Because, as in (1), Zamberian recommend using a soft brush to apply the Hydrobloc Waterprofing Cream, wear a pair of Disposable Clear Vinyl Gloves to protect your hands when applying the cream, also be careful to keep your hands/cream away from your face, eyes and mouth, recommend that you wear a pair of safety glasses to protect your eyes;7.) Apply Zamberlan Hydrobloc Waterprofing Cream with a small (13mm) size brush into the welt.8.) Use a small dry cloth to apply the cream to the flat surfaces of each leather boot so that the outside of each leather boot is covered evenly.9.) Allow the Zamberlan Hydrobloc Waterprofing Cream to soak into the leather boots over night and be absorbed into the leather.10.) When the boots are 'dry' replace the boot laces. The boots are ready to wear.Good walking.
