I've bought air pumps before that were supposed to be quiet. Only to discover you'd have to be deaf to be ok with the noise. This air pump is running 2 filters on high no problems. All I hear is a low humming. I'm getting a new Betta. I wanted to have increased filtration but at slower speed. I'm completly happy with purchase.

Perfect pump I have it running a sponge filter in my 75 gal aquarium and it’s perfect. Nice and quiet. I like that I can adjust the air flow. I think it’s a great pump for the money and my husband is ordering one for his tank now too.

Probably the quietest pump I’ve owned! I’ve been using it for a while now in my 20 gallon long for my betta fish. High quality for the price, easy to set up and adjust, and would definitely recommend!

Way too loud, can hear it on the other side of the house. Putting a towel on it does nothing as even suspended it’s the same noise level, which seems to be coming from the motor or how the motor vibrates the casing, not how the casing vibrates on a surface. Maybe mine is defective because many reviews claim it’s quiet whereas only a few mention it being loud. Either way, I have this one plus Hygger’s 4w double-outlet block pump marketed for aquariums up to 120 gallons and that one is super quiet (can’t hear the pump itself from 10 feet away) unlike this one. Just spend the extra eight or so dollars to get that one instead.Also I bought this for a 10-gallon quarantine tank and while it is adjustable, lowering airflow does little for the noise and still puts out a little more air than I’d like.So while it’s technically good value, assuming mine isn’t defective then it’s only suitable in already noisy environments and/or places where you won’t mind the noise, and the same company makes significantly better pumps for just a little more money.

This thing is so loud it is driving me insane! The video is me gradually going away from the pump about 14 ft. It's actually quieter in the air. I have to put it on a towel and a thick piece of tile (tile helped make it quieter) with the tank stand door closed. My $10 air pump is way quieter, so silent it's covered by the sound of the air bubbles from the water. The hygger pump has barely any power, even when it's by itself. If I hook it up for two of my tanks, one side has nearly all of the oxygen (which is maybe like the pump is a little more than the second setting ) and the other is like the pump is set to the lowest setting. I've had this for over a year, and it's still working exactly the same: just as loud and powerless as the day I got it! :C

I bought this after reading the reviews about how quiet it was, and to be fair, it actually was. It’s not quiet anymore. The gentle hum lasted about 2.5 months but now I’m looking for something better.
