Rave CoffeeMocha Java Blend Nº 3, Freshly Roasted Whole Beans 1kg

Forgive the pun, but I don't understand the raving over this coffee. We have had a Delonghi bean to cup machine for quite a while now, and tried a huge variety of beans, and I think this is the worst we've tried yet. We like good strong coffee, but it must be smooth and not too bitter. Frankly, the first cup I had of this tasted like someone had taken a cardboard box that has previously had some beans stored in it, and steeped it in hot water for a minute. It did grow on me a bit over a few days and we drank it all, but I wouldn't go out of my way to order it again. It just wasn't very strong, even with the machine settings maxed out.We will try some of the other blends because they all seem to get very good reviews, but I am not overly optimistic about them now.

As a fine coffee virgin, some of the best surprises were beating the high street coffee`s at home with limited equipment.From time to time I enjoyed a Mocha in Costa/Starbucks, and as anyone familiar with this drink will know, a sachet of "hot chocolate" is added with the regular coffee to make a choco-coffee.Well what happens when you use REAL mocha beans?... Well you have a delicious chocolate flavour coffee without the chocolate. It makes a great alternative to regular beans if you need a change. I usually have bag open alongside my usual blend.. Great in Milk also.Also seems to have a long life - does not seem to suffer when left open for a few weeks.

I purchased 4 different coffees on a "deal" and have only just finished one of them - the Sumatra Mandehling. I normally buy this from another supplier and have it high roasted, which is very oily, rich and dark, but as I am trying to "cut down" the coffee flavours thought this one would be good to try - and it is. Lovely dense flavour with lots of high notes - but have yet to try the other three but a great way to sample new varieties!

I love this coffee, it`s rich and full of flavour with a hint of chocolate. It is a good balance of being strong without bitterness. Freshly ground every morning makes this the perfect start to the day.

better than than the'Mocha' I bought

yum! we get this every once in a while as a treat. nice and chocolatey (but not too much to make it not taste like coffee), smooth and yummy. yes, you should try it.

Love rave coffee! The Mocha Java Blend has just the right balance of flavors and has not disappointed me. I usually make americanos and lattes with it at home and have enjoyed having it every morning.

Nice tasting coffee from french press, however smell when you open the bag is very different to the taste, moreso than i would expect
