MTM Case-Gard Ammo Can 9mm Combo, 1000 Rounds, Flat Dark Earth

I purchased this to store about 450 rounds of ammunition, three extra magazines, a sidearm (at times), and a large set of ear protection, and a gun lock, and this ammo can hold it all with ease. It is easily accepts a padlock to keep it sealed (two at once if you really wanted) so the security of the case is only limited by the fact that the case is designed to be carried around easily. I can imagine that If I wanted to store the full 1000 rounds or more then I couldn't fit anything else but ammo but for my use this case is perfect. I found that the bullets fit the most securely if they are facing up, flat side on the bottom. That's using both standard range 115gr Luger and 124gr Hollow Point, so while it's not a negative you may find you prefer it that way too since it just feels more secure when the packs of 100 are full if you have them facing up. I've not had circumstance to see if the box is truly water resistant yet but the case does feel robust, like it'd take a good drop with only scratches to show for it. The latch holding the lid closed seems like a good design since there's two parts one has to lift up on before they can open the case. Negative: This case clearly says "9MM AMMO CASE" on the outside which is more obvious then I'd like. The side sticker easily comes off (pretty cleanly too) but the marking saying it's an ammo case is simply part of the physical box, and can only be covered up. IMO it looks somewhat tacky as well, the box is well-designed otherwise.

Solid build. 2 sturdy clasps that lock tight. Nice pivoting handle. It hold ten 100 Rd cases with a little room around the sides if you want want to toss a few small items

Great ammo can . It's basically like you're getting the can for free because I could not find the ten 100 round box for under fifty bucks. i think it was a good deal im happy with my purchase.

great for ammo stoage, stacks nicely, sturdy and can hold 11 boxed of 100 rounds, or 10 boxes plus mags. i reload my own ammo and these work perfect for that. i own a few of these and a few 223 combo cans. it wont maxamize the storage of your ammo but will make sure you can carry a ammo can in each hand without it being to heavy.

Good cases with updated hinges

This can is sturdy and very high quality, like all MTM Ammo cans. The 10 cases inside each hold 100 rounds, giving you the 1000 total rounds of storage. I don't really know that these are any more practical than a regular MTM 50 cal ammo can...As those easily store 1000 rounds worth of ammo in "regular" manufacturer boxes. That being said, if you reload your own ammo this option will be super helpful for you. Or, if like me you just want to be a little more organized with your store bought ammo, these are pretty helpful. There is a little room at the top once the 10 internal ammo boxes are full. I was able to squeeze in six 50 round boxes of boxed range ammo, bringing the total storage go this can up to 1300 rounds. All in all, this is an inexpensive, quality ammo can. I expect this thing will last a life time unless I really abuse it, which is unlikely. This was a great purchase. The product description doesn’t show a lot of pictures so it was kind of a lap of faith. When received I noticed that it is a USA made product. When holding it I notice immediately the sturdiness of the handle and I felt confident that will hold the weight of the ammo. There is a seal on the lid which will prevent water or humidity to enter the compartment. I also like that there are two padlock receivers! The little boxes will hold 100 rounds; depending on your preference they will feel loose in place if you store them with the actual bullet facing down. If you do it the other way, with the case facing down, it will fit pretty nice but difficult to retrieve. In total you have 10 boxes that will hold 100 rounds for a total of 1k of rounds. Each box comes with a set of labels that will help you to identify the caliber, grain, date and other important information if you are a data freak. I used the small tags to simple record the date, caliber and grain. Overall this ammo can is a great way to keep ammo organized, clean and protected. You can’t go wrong with it.

This item has helped me organize and consolidate my ammo. It is especially useful for bulk ammo. The included preprinted labels have made it easy to identify different calibers in the storage boxes. I will likely purchase this again.
