A boy's toy.
Magic toy. I love it. I bought it for me but I sent it to my grandson but it did not reach him.....because my son now has it. So I will get another one (sorry two....one for me and one for my grandson).

It does grip to a steel worktop like a limpet, However top tip.... make sure your saw bench is made of steel and not Aluminium like my Bosch is, otherwise you have an expensive clamp that does not work, fortunately for me my bandsaw has a steel table so all was not lost, otherwise useful tool to have

Brilliant piece of kit. So easy to use, set up, & holds work piece firm.

Useless
Used once to see what it performed like and I saw the lock mechanism unlocking itself, I was using it to hold down a plane blade whilst I sharpened it. The item was definitely turned all the way to the lock position as I had read that this was a known problem that people were having, anyhow I tried to return it to Amazon but they say that I am unable to return for a refund or replacement, after all the money I have spent with Amazon over the years this sort of cheapmes leaves a bad taste and will probably cost them a customer. To conclude, this item is rubbish and cannot be used or returned and will be placed where it belongs. Buyer beware springs to mind

Excellent!
I was a bit disappointed at first. My first few tests showed less than 10 pounds of force. It turns out the magnetic force is proportional to the thickness of the material. On sheet metal it is unimpressive. On thick metal parts it’s a bit scary. 😉 The On/Off feature is perfect for kids as it helps prevent accidents.

Top Qualität ! Die Magnete halten gut, Scherkräfte aber beachten. [oder nächst stärkere Magnete verwenden] Anwendung zB. an der Tischbohrmaschine. Bei Tischkreissägen mit Gusseisentischen für die variable Fixierung von Andruckkämmen etc. in Amerika vorwiegend konstruiert.
