It obviously doesn't fill holes or scratches but it does even out the colour and appearance of the wood so such marks are not as noticeable. It is easy to apply. After vacuuming the floor, I scrubbed the wax into into the joints around each tile in an area roughly 75cm x 75cm using an old toothbrush, then rubbed this "joint" wax along the grain of each tile using the abrasive side of a kitchen sponge. I removed stubborn stains and paint splashes with a stainless steel scourer and/or a wallpaper scraper. Any areas that appeared dry were given extra wax. I left each area for about 30 minutes, then polished it with a cloth to remove any excess wax. I have now used the product on 2 floors both of which look amazing. A rug covers about 50% of the floor space but I have never considered the wooden floor to be slippery. **Q: Hi, we have Engineered Oak Matt Oiled flooring, looks a bit tired in places. Do you have to re wax every so often (we use Osmo wash) lol?** A: You can try to clean this with liquid wax or wax and care. Can it be applied on top of Osmo matt finished oiled flooring?** A: The recommendations on the cleaner say 'cleans and regenerates floors finished with hard-wax oils as well as as wooden furniture and other interior oiled or waxed surfaces'. It also states that it can be used on white spirit resistant sufaces; this is how it has been used here.Its quite a 'gloopy' product and you do not need to apply a lot of it, as much as you would use to apply wax to polish a table top, to get the treatment needed. It is flammable so dries very quickly, a matter of minutes on my surface, but I would advise good ventilation to allow the volatile product to escape. **Q: Is this product likely to remove plaster dust that some workmen have left embedded on my new oak floor???
