Died in less than a month. Slow to heat water. Doesn't appear to retain heat well.
I'm on the fence about this one. I know the Cuckoo brand from rice cookers from many people I know from the Korean community and they generally have a good reputation, which is why I picked this up.I've had other branded thermal pots and this one is kind of meh. It takes a while to boil water (20 minutes maybe with a full 2 liters?) and feels warm to the touch, meaning it will need to continue to draw energy to keep the water warm. The fill line is also hard to see when a refill is needed.I probably would have given this 4 stars for being sufficient for the price, but our unit died in less than a month, 2 days shy of the return window. It kept saying to refill it even when it was totally full. Amazon sent us a new one, but I'm a bit concerned for a company with such a good reputation that a dud like the one we got may suggest a design flaw. So far so good on the new one with the same flaws already mentioned. If this one breaks after exceeding the return window, that means working with the Cuckoo warranty service, i.e. paying for shipping and downtime without it. Hoping that our first unit was a one off.

Price is right but I will probably buy another brand next time.
We bought this Thermal Pot because we have the rice cooker of the same brand which was well known for it quality. Unfortunately not so for this hot water pot. First of, the power connector behind this pot is easily dislodge, which means power is not connected and until you need to have some hot water only to realize it needs to reboil again by pushing the connector back to its place. The Japanese brand has a magnetic connector to solve this problem but they are expensive. But you get what you pay for. The other negative thing is that when you refill water into the pot, some water will flow out from the spout which again the Japanese company has better R&D on this.
