8-Cup Stovetop Coffee Percolator, Clear Glass Brew Knob

It percolates and makes coffee. The rest is up to you. I use freshly ground beans . I've timed how long it takes experimented with the amount of coffee I like for the cup of coffee I enjoy. One big tip I can share with anyone who doesn't have experience with this kind of coffee maker. You need to season it kind of like a cast iron skillet. Fill The basket and percolate it for a good hour. Let it sit all night with that strong coffee in there and from here on out just rinse it no need to scrub with soap and water. I do run a small brush threw the stem about once a week to ensure it doesn't get clogged up over time with buildup. With a little care this will be the last time you'll ever buy a coffee maker. I am the only coffee drinker in my house so I generally only make four cups but I can make 8 cups when I have company that may enjoy coffee. Keep in mind this is referring to 8 oz cups Most people drink almost if not double that amount in their morning coffee mug. That's something you should consider and buy the right size coffee pot for your household needs. It's not as convenient or time efficient as a drip coffee pot. But in my opinion and taste and those are very subjective to each person with that in mind , this makes a much better cup of coffee and worth the extra effort to me. From the time I start till I'm pouring my coffee in the cup including grinding the beans is about 20 min. I set a timer and its ready when I go out the for work. Also you should let it sit a few minutes before pouring so any grounds that sneak through the basket settle to the bottom and will not end up in your cup unless you pour the last little bit in it, If you use a coarse ground coffee you don't need a filter so in my opinion this gives you a much better cup of coffee because the filter takes away some of the oils that add flavor to your coffee. But if you're happy with store-bought already ground coffee, get the filters that they sell for these and it works just fine. After reading through some of the negative reviews ones that says this makes a horrible cup of coffee that is 100% user error. I did see reports of the electric one leaking keep in mind I am reviewing the stove top version One lady said the glass on top broke there any number of reasons for this but I have not had any issues with mine possibly she got a cracked one? A few people stated that the handle caught on fire or melted I think this would really be subject to the size of your burner or possibly an electric burner If you had a larger diameter circle of fire or heat than the outside diameter of your actual coffee pot this could very easily be an issue. So use a little caution and place your coffee pot so the handle isn't directly over flames reaching around the pot or heat traveling straight up from an electric burner to the handle. With a gas stove this could be circumvented with placement as well as not turning the heat up so high that the circle of fire is bigger than the coffee pot. Someone said the experienced wobble as if the metal was probably too thin and it didn't work right for them I'm guessing they had it on a electric burner? I have not experienced this on my gas burner. People also mention the metallic taste one person even said hopefully after a few uses and washings that will go away that will not go away if you do not season your coffee maker. From what I saw The majority of bad reviews for this coffee maker come from user error on the opinion based on lack of experience with this type of coffee maker. I am not saying this is the best one ever made It is a moderate priced stove top stainless steel percolator. The one I received the build quality was fine It does what is designed to do. If you say your pot makes crappy pasta chances are you are just not good at cooking pasta take a little time and learn how to do it right and you will enjoy it.

This stovetop percolator has quickly become an essential part of my morning routine. If you are looking for a reliable, well-built steel coffee maker for daily use, this one is an excellent choice. It’s also sleek and pretty just sitting out. I don't use any paper filters with it, and the metal basket handles the grounds perfectly. For the ultimate brew, I get it perking at medium heat, then lower the temperature and let it simmer for exactly 5 minutes. The coffee it produces tastes absolutely fantastic—rich, robust, and consistently smooth every single time. One of the best features is how incredibly easy it is to clean; the parts separate effortlessly, and the stainless steel rinses out beautifully without retaining any stubborn stains or old oil residue. The only minor downside to keep in mind is the little spring located under the basket on the stem. It detaches easily when taking everything apart to wash, and I find myself always worrying that it might accidentally get lost down the sink drain. As long as you keep an eye on that piece during cleanup, it is a flawless machine. Highly recommended for anyone who loves a classic, flavorful brew!

I love coffee. I love going to sleep at night because I know when I wake up, in the morning I can have coffee. At home I have been using and abusing different Keurig brewers steadily for years but lately I’ve been seeing a resurgence of percolators online. Maybe they cost less overall, or maybe some are trying to avoid microplastics but whatever the reason, I got the bug to give it a go. I haven’t had percolator coffee in decades, in fact I’ve never owned one so this is my first. This pot looks high end. It’s not thin and flimsy and the moment you open the lid, you know it’s made to last. The handle is a comfy grab (and stays cool while it brews). The glass dome is thick and solid, and the filter basket inside just feels like quality, they fit together seamlessly. I couldn’t be more pleased with the design and look of this coffee pot. The instructions are clear and concise and while I was a little nervous my first time out, those nerves were alleviated as the little coffee pot went to work. The measurement marks inside the pot and the coffee filter basket are clear and easy to read and after a few times you get the feel how much to add. It heats quickly and brews perfect coffee every single time. Medium high, wait until she starts to perk, then reduce heat to medium. For me, let her burble 7 minutes more and that baby is ready to serve. Careful, contents are hot! I can have coffee made in less than 15 minutes and for me that’s the perfect time for reflection. Is it as fast as a Keurig, no. But if you don’t have time to wait for the percolator to perform then hit a K cup (or a DD on your way to work) and roll with it. Easy peasy. Maybe I’m old school but the sounds of the percolator are part of the experience. It’s a soothing sound to hear it start to boil inside, and then the noise of the coffee popping up into the glass dome just puts me at ease. I feel like a little kid, transported to my grandmother’s kitchen with the sounds and the smell of the past. And for the moment, I can forget the world for a while.

This is very nice. It's cheap, but it makes coffee ☕️ taste real good. I have two electric coffee pots and a electric perculator but a stove top perculators brews better

Bought the ELITE GOURMET coffee pot after deciding to get back to basics. I was amazed at how fast and easy it was to use! Just fill it to the desired level with water (up to the 8-cup max), load the coffee grounds into the metal basket, lower it into the water, shut the lid, put the pot on the small-sized burner (electric stove), Set it on HIGH, wait until it starts to percolate a bit, lower the heat to MEDIUM, wait 5-7 minutes, turn off heat, and a perfect pot of coffee is ready! Easy to clean. I usually just rinse it well. I love the all-stainless steel construction, and glass knob on top. With typical heavy use, I see many years ahead for this little gem...

After my nnnnth# electric dripmaker quit, I decided NO MORE electric drips. I needed a pot fast and this was a good price. This arrived quickly; it was well packaged. This pot took no longer than my electric drip overall. The coffee is delicious, full flavored and is not bitter. For no grounds, I took the pot off the heat, waited until it stopped perking, poured a drop of cold water down the spout, and poured. Then i set the pot back on the hot burner to keep it warm., It stayed hot for two hours. The insert was in when I poured because I couldn't open the lid. I had two cups of no ground, delicious coffee. Tips: The first time you get it, wash it with dishsoap or vinegar and water and rinse thoroughly, to get manufacturing residue out, but after this never use soap in it again. Just vinegar water. Rinse well. The easiest way to clean is to perk white vinegar water with the insert in. Get a straw cleaner brush or chenille pipe cleaner so you can scrub out the tube on occasion. Do not fill to spout level. Tap the basket lightly to settle the grounds even. Be sure the basket lid is firmly on. I used three tbsp. scoops of reg ground coffee. Coarse ground is recommended, but you can use any reg ground coffee. Use the drop of cold water in the spout trick to have ground-free coffee. The pot lid has to be set flush for it to perk. It will click and you can't open it. I had a time opening it after the coffee cooled, but my pot was not fully cold. It is really tight! I will try when it is cold and see if it opens easier. I love the coffee pot and like that I don't need electricity. I can use a portable burner if needed. Overall, I would highly recommend this coffeepot. It is a good gauge stainless steel.

Nice coffee pot ... retro style, made of stainless steel which makes it easy to clean. We live way out in the country and on occasion the electricity gets knocked out by storms - this pot is beneficial because it can be used on a BBQ grill, over a campfire or fireplace. Great for camping too!

Love this old school percolator! I have been trying to get away from plastic, this sturdy little percolator is just right. Brews quickly on med-high heat and makes a flavorful cup of ambition.

Helps make proper brewed coffee at home.

Love it. Takes a couple of tries to find out how long you should let it perk so that it’s the strength you like your coffee. I also use a filter so that coffee grounds are not in the coffee. It’s exactly the right size for me. Takes about 20 minutes to make coffee that I like.

Buen producto

Haven't been able to find a decent percolator for ages. In 1978, I was made to purchase a filter/cone machine to replace defunct (over 20 years) electrical 12 cups percolator (it was GE brand). Strangely enough, percolators disappeared off the shelves around the 1980s. Only commercial ones were available. Recently, our last filter/cone drip coffee machine died after 6 years. Needless to say, I didn't want another one which doesn't keep coffee warm long enough. Therefore, my search for the perfect percolator... With the EC008 Stovetop model from Elite Gourmet, it was the perfect choice. I use my single 1500W hotplate unit. 30minutes from beginning to end on MAX. Simply amazing! Cannot fault it at all. Easy to use, easy to clean and the 8 cups quantity gives each of us 2 full cups. The flavour is definitely better than drip. It enhances the ground coffee here in UK. I definitely recommend 👍👍👍

J aurais été encore plus satisfait si les filtres proposés avec la cafetière avait été de bonne dimension…..
