A Toe-Curling Stack of the Best Bits from Issues 242-251 Mankind’s constant need to do better - to climb higher, strive harder and travel further and faster - has been the unstoppable engine of progress that has driven our species on to ever greater achievements since we first crawled out of the primordial soup. Today we think nothing of travelling through space to the furthest edges of our solar system, building giant glass and steel skyscrapers that pierce the clouds, or communicating with people on the other side of the world in the blink of an eye using a smartphone no bigger than an iPod. We have harnessed the power of the wind, the sun and the atom to do our bidding, and our disposable razors increase their number of blades seemingly on a daily basis. Now a thrilling new chapter of Homo sapiens’s inspirational story of progress opens with the release of Viz - The Jester’s Shoes. For this year’s Viz book is the BIGGEST EVER ANNUAL we have ever published! Ever! Viz - The Jester’s Shoes is the 33rd annual from Britain’s funniest magazine, and is a fantastic 25% bigger than its predecessors, it is a 200-page romp through the best of issues 242 to 251, including… Cartoons: The Fat Slags, Roger Mellie, Sid the Sexist, Mrs Brady, 8 Ace, Biffa Bacon and many more Entertaining and informative features: Life on Mars, Who’s Who in Accident and Emergency, the Origins of Christmas and 20 Things you Never Knew about James Bond Thrilling Adventure stories: The Shark Hunters of Hammerhead Bay, Striker’s Last Match, The Ghost of Greytowers and Time Travelling White Van Man Letterbocks, Top Tips and much, much more! Viz - The Jester’s Shoes will surely go down in history - alongside the invention of the wheel, the discovery of fire and the Ronco Buttoneer - as one of the most important milestones in over 6 million years of human evolution. And unlike the invention of the wheel, the discovery of fire and the Ronco Buttoneer, it also makes an ideal gift for someone in that difficult £10 to £15 bracket. Review: Laugh - Laugh a minute with this bawdry but witty publication. You need to have a broad mind though! Review: Not as funny as it used to be. - Drunken bakers is one of the greatest strips ever - a true classic that I hope will be one day collected. Apart from that, we have the usual collection of Viz characters with their running gags and potty mouthed humour. It's all good stuff and a worthy addition to the Viz library.

If you are reading this and haven't yet experienced Viz, then where have you been all these years? The Fat Slags are still sh#@@ing there way through every man who comes into view. Spoilt Ba#@+rd still demands, and gets, what he wants from his mother. Roger Mellie (the man on the telly) is still on a mission to find the most crude and objectionable TV format in which to star. Not enough Finbarr Saunders, however. The highlights are from - as usual - the Viz readership themselves.Their letters and top-tips are worth the cost of this annual, so buy it!

How dare they?!
I am absolutely outraged and completely disgusted that this " so called" collection of " so called " cartoons, although " not for sale to children " IS prominently displayed on the back cover, can be, and ,in fact, was sold in various bookish outlets for the princely sum of £10.99 and yet not six months later it was purchased by me for ridiculously low price of £0.01p + postage. I would happily pay TEN times that amount ( £0.10p + pp) if I thought that it would keep the poor producers of this tome in the style to which they have become accustomed. How dare they charge so little for something so vital to Britain's economy, I urge everyone to write to the Daily Mail forthwith. I thank you.

As Expected
The cover was bent despite being a hardback. I feel certain it was done in the post and no fault of the shop. It doesn't get in the way of reading. It's a fun book which will take me some time to read. I opened it up and came across a full page "advertisement" for the Less Cake More Exercise diet. I used to enjoy Viz and I look forward to going through this book slowly.

I know it's childish crass and sexist and many other things but I can't help but enjoy VIZ , the format has not changed in a very long time and I hope it never does , in a world where we are so concerned with being PC and not upsetting anyone by saying or doing the wrong thing VIZ is a breath of fresh air and proudly stands up for the British sense of humour which doesn't care who the hell it upsets , LONG LIVE VIZ !!!!!!!!!

Another slice of high quality garbage from the lovely people at Viz
The euphemistically titled books by Viz always give me a wry smile. Fans of Viz will not feel too let down with this old tome. The regurgitated comic strips and jokes still hold a few good chuckles for the aficionado of the genre. Not for children. A recommended book.

Funny ADULT ENGLISH humour
I am from England, and love this adult comic. Loads of topical humour with lots of expletives. If you like English humour and are and ADULT you'll love this annual.

Excellent. Grew up laughing my head off at these comics. Can't buy all the time now so have to make do with the annual. Still makes me laugh like a teenager. Obviously don't buy if easily offended.
