I travel quite a bit, and find the need to charge my phone in public places. For obvious security concerns (as we often read that hackers can steal your info over compromised public area connections), I make sure to add this data blocker to my charging cord, as added security. We have so much information on our cell phones, and keeping our data safe is a priority to most, if not all of us. I feel that this device works well to protect my information. I read somewhere that to test devices such as this, attach it to your personal computer, and you will see that the computer doesn't recognize your cellular phone. I did so, and indeed, the computer did not recognize (or "see") my cellular phone.

This is a great item, though due to the nature of how it works, it has one caveat: You won't get a fast charge through it, since fast-charging requires the data pins, and this entirely lacks them. I bought this to replace two separate USB data blockers in my travel kit - one type-A and one type-C - thereby saving me a bit of space. It works perfectly at what it does, and I was pleasantly surprised to learn it also works as a type-C to type-A USB adapter, which is a nice versatility feature.

Good to have as have read about not using an unprotected charger in a rental car. Good to have at airports as well

As advertised, would recommend and would get again. Well built, good handy devices to keep your data and devices safe and clean. Fits well, and charges as expected. Good items to keep your stuff safe. Dont just stick your junk into any old charging hole.

Apparently these data blockers are safe to use and they work at stopping any data transfer. My only minor complaint is the the male USB C ends are way too short If you have even a thin, light weight protective case on your cell phone, it is highly unlikely these ends will be long enough to securely fit into your cell phone's the USB C port. Just keep this in mind. Other than this, I would recommend them.

These do not work. Data does not transmit at all. Devices will not charge through these devices.
