I only just had this delivered today. Wasnt expecting til thursday. That was a nice surprise. Packing was decent, and the setup instructions where pretty simple. Did panic a little at first when i saw that the Back support brackets was loose and nothing was holding it in place, whereas the other side was so tough to move and even when pushing the lever up it didnt move, thought it was faulty.. I didnt force as didnt want to break. so carried on setting up, in the hope itll sort itself out. which it did once i installed the back rest onto the bracket. as i sat back and held the lever, with a little force it was freely moving up and down. Chair is comfortable once you can adjust the pillows to your liking. PVC Leather finish looks pretty slick. 2 bug bears. 1)the arm rests. they move from side to side. nothing i do tightens this. In the hope seller reads this and can explain how to avoid this. otherwise I may have to send back. 2) the straps that hold the pillow and back support, need to not be so visible. all in all a decent chair. only time will tell. UPDATE Contacted seller on saturday about the arm rests. Sent me another set of arms by tuesday. Super responsive. Just installed them and have made a huge difference. Thank you! changed to 5 star

Once I found my optimum spring tension & height this has proven to be an excellent chair - in use for at least 8 hours per day. The nearest I could find on line was around £240, so for £80 decided to try this first. The tilting mechanism stuck a lot while sitting forward & was very noisy upon sitting back (hence one star off for assembly). Customer service by direct email was excellent & they eventually sent out a replacement part for nothing. Not overly upholstered, but that suits me at 12 stone, 6' height. With feet flat on floor, a near-lowest height is my personal preference, spring set about medium giving a comfortable recline of a few inches on sitting back. For me, the ability to push arm rests vertical & out of the way is a real boon - hard to find this facility, especially in a chair at this price point. Thank you, Oaklands, and well done!

For the money this chair is spot on. The padding is good and comfortable to sit on. The moveable are rests are a bit less stable but ok. The chair is easy to assemble but requires two people to fit the back on. It was quite difficult to align the holes and screws without someone else holding the back panel in place, but once fitted the chair is vey stable.

Amazing chair arrived with rapid delivery.Very comfy. Easy to assemble. Height and angle adjustable arm rests very handy. Back and neck pillows supports your posture. Quality metarial with sturdy build. You can open the chair wide open and have a little nap if you want.Balance and quality of build just unbelievable. Perfect match with new desk. I have bought several chairs from this brand over the years none have required as much assembly. The instructions are not clear and I needed another person to help attach the arms Also its enormous so measure your doorways. Am sure it will be comfortable but too much hassle for me overall as simpler alternatives are available from the same retailer.

I wanted something comfortable but within budget and didn’t want to go overboard on prices. I’d looked at the options via Argos, IKEA, etc. and they were all so overly priced and did not look anywhere near as comfortable as this Amazon offering. The chair was nicely packaged (boxed) and was fairly straightforward to put together. What amazing is how functional the chair is; the armrests move up and down (all the way), the chair can be lowered up and down (hydraulic) and it can be reclined back (almost like a rocker) but can also be fixed into a permanent upright position. And all the above for at an absolutely amazing price, all delivered to your door no less (Prime) at no extra costs (unlike Argos, Ikea, etc). Highly recommended.

I was very hesitant to buy a chair online as the cheaper ones looked unreliable and I couldn't afford a pro-gaming style chair. This chair turned out to be the perfect middle ground. I needed this because I have had an injury leaving me less mobile and was going to be working from home, and wanted to be able to play games too. I needed something very comfortable which I could spend long periods of time in and support me during my recovery. The chair is comfy, especially the shape of the back and the support at the hips/ thighs, and the neck and lumbar cushions are good. I am 5'0 but I think the chair would be good for taller and heavier people too. Other members of my family have tried this out, who are both taller and heavier than me, and they found it comfy too. The chair is very adjustable, with recline and height, as well as the highly adjustable arms, which are fantastic for me since it's enabled me to recline far back from my computer with a tray table resting on the arms for my keyboard and mouse. I've been using it for a couple of weeks now and it's not an exaggeration to say it's changed my life for the better. I'm sure you can get fancier chairs for more money but if you want something reliable and comfortable you could definitely do worse.

Assembling this is a bit of a pain: holes don't always line up and you end up bashing it into position and not using all the screw holes. It seems sturdy enough once built, even considering that. The other main drawback is one of the adjustable armrests drops down when I "push off" against it. The other one doesn't. In normal use this isn't a problem and they support my arms just fine. This is perfectly comfortable when used for hours at a time, although it took a little adjusting to get used to it and I can't claim to be a posture expert. The two cushions (both of which can be repositioned) help with that and the moulding generally seems ergonomic. The chair is largely robust and doesn't squeak or creak. The gas-lift holds its position and doesn't shrink. Overall it does the job I want of it.
