Absolutely a necessity if you have a wood stove brings the coals to the front, easily without burning your hands if the stove is not really deep. Allows you to adjust the bed of coals for the new piece of wood very easily. Love the product!

Threads need to be longer, but otherwise good to go. Add a drop of LocTite on the screws and you won’t have any issues.
