Will this adhere to a resin sink?

Yes I don't see why not. It has 2 suction pieces at the back. I had to wet the suction part and it stuck no bother to the sink.

Will this stick to a metal sink?

Yes but not very well! I have mine on a metal sink and it stays most of the time but you do have to reattach often

Hello the left suction wont stick to the wall only the right. Any idea how i csn get it to stick or is it broken?

Have you wet the suction side and then pressed it to the wall? That seems to work on mine.

Could you stand a hand soap container in the regular sized one ?

No you cannot, and it’s suction is really bad. I even tried it on a flat and shiny surface. It does not work let alone be used for your purpose. Plz don’t buy.
