Outdated info
I hate to write a bad review but this book was published in 2012 and is very outdated. I haven't heard of a typewriter in decades. Not very informative in this day and age.

Very puny book size
There is a lot to learn about the industry and that type of clientele. The book falls short of giving much more than really basic information which can all be found on the internet. Cost of book was too much for the amount of information.

If looking to start this business, but another book
Really not any help at all, much better books out there. Not even worth money spent...which wasn’t much

Mediocre guide to home watch
This book provides some very basic insight into the home watch business, but nothing that won't already be very easy deduce on your own. If you are researching several business ideas and don't know much about home watch as a business and are looking for some very basic guidelines about what it is all about, this book my be valuable. If you are like me and have already done some very basic research and are looking for some creative ideas and ways to avoid pitfalls, this book will be of little value. The only thing that I found in this book of any real value was the sample contract, but you will still need to make changes to tailor it to your business.

Good basic info
The book is short, but to the point. It gives you the basics of what you will need to get your business started. I only wish it had more on marketing of the business.

Sparse and outdated
Very sparse information. From talking about using typewriters (!) to recommending an attorney for forming an LLC because it is the "newest form of corporation" (can be done on the net for substantially less than an attorney), the book is dated and barely brushes the surface of all topics. For example, "War Stories", which have little application to forming a business or to home watch services, take up more space than 'Marketing' and "Home Watch services" sections combined!!. If you count the three pages of note taking space and the reorder form, it is maybe 50 pages at best. An easy read but little to gain. No offense to the author, but could easily be a $3 supermarket checkout booklet.

Irrelevant
I was excited to get this book and gain some serious insight into starting a home watch business. This book, however, provided absolutely no help whatsoever. The examples, forms, and even sample contract were juvenile at best. The anecdotals were irrelevant to anyone starting this type of business. Very disappointing
