Sorry, don't understand 'micemebt. I found the unit to be well made and not too obtrusive. However, I couldn't fins a way to adjust the inner control disc from below. I could only adjust it from above, which for me is in the loft. I could be missing something. I also bought back draft flaps which I put in line on the exhaust side of the fan. This stops unwanted draft coming in on windy days.

Q: Tried to install today, and I'm stuck. How do you secure the white white metal collar to the steel duct? It just falls straight through

There's a twisting motion to secure to an internal shallow thread if I recall. Then the centre bit can rotate against a screw/nut to enlarge or shrink the hole/gap.

Q: Does this require a fixing collar?

I didn't use one, the 100mm hole was tight enough that it didn't need one
