The extra holder is perfect for a bottle of water, or anything for that matter.I thought looking at the pictures that it might be quite flimsy, but this thing is extremely solid. I'd highly recommend this for all smaller brass players that use mutes. Not sure how it would cope with trombone mutes though.Update: Had this for over 10 years now, and it's still like new. It's a perfect addition to my stand, saves lots of hassle getting mutes, and even holds my drink during rehearsals. Can't recommend this enough. I think the only reason I'd have to replace it is if someone took mine.
