I bought these as a present for a relative, as I have owned a pair myself for about 10 years. I stumbled upon them by accident, and decided to give them a go for cutting fabric only - as opposed to multi-purpose use.Most dressmaking scissors have very long blades & big handles, & as my hands are not that big, I have always found them unwieldy to use. When I came across these, with the shorter blade, cushioned handles & gentle spring action I couldn't believe how much of a difference they made to cutting out swathes of bridal fabric, and also snipping into small areas with ease. The assistance of the spring action means that your hands do not tire anywhere near as quickly as they do with normal scissors.I will NEVER use traditional dressmakers scissors ever again - these are just Brilliant!!

As an avid collector of 'scissors for every occasion' I hesitated to add yet another cutting tool to my substantial collection. Now I can't think why I waited so long. VERY comfortable and sharp. Much easier on my ageing hands. I am thinking of trying it with one of my disabled students who has cerebral palsy and very limited hand co-ordination, that's how easy this is. Having cut all manner of things for years now and used all sorts of cutting tools both professionally for craft workshops and for my own personal use, I really recommend this tool. Just took a little getting used to a slightly different way of handling the scissors.

A really good premium brand product at a price that's between 75% and 60% of the price it is in the shops.The sprung handles make cutting heavy fabric much easier and the slightly spongy grips make them a very comfortable pair of scissors to use. The safety catch is soft and easy to operate.Despite looking awkward the blades are no more difficult to manoeuvre than any other pair of scissors.Highly recommended for dress/costume makers

these are much easier to use than normal scissors as they do not mark your finger and thumbI am left handed but learnt to cut right handed when young (as there was no left handed scissors)so these scissors give me the option to use either my left hand or right hand to cut fabricand you CAN use them left handed (even though the blades are right handed) as you are not using the pressure of your thumb to bring the blades togetherand they are really sharp

I’m only in my 40’s but these are so comfortable and sharp to use for fabric, any other scissors hurt my hands. They are spring loaded to assist your hands.
