What a fantastic switch!
I needed a 48-port managed switch with PoE power that doesn't sound like a jet plane taking off. After heavily researching my options, I decided on the Aruba ION 1930 switch. The second revision of this switch has three fans, with some tweaked fan curves (perhaps some more, the data sheet isn't very specific), that make it far quieter than its earlier predecessor; specifically, around 28dB in my case. I have the switch loaded up with eight PoE devices, consuming an average of 28 watts. Yes, management is exclusive to either the managed portal or a local web interface, no built-in console access. The local web interface is more feature rich than the remotely managed option, so that's what I've opted for; and besides, I can access the switch through my VPN anyway. This particular switch has a whole host of fancy features that should satisfy most, including LAGG/LACP which I'm also using. If you're planning on outgrowing the switch & want to stack multiple switches, the 1930 is not for you, however HPE has solved that in their 1960 switches. This a fantastic switch at a competitive price, despite having no CLI interface. If that doesn't turn you down, I can heavily recommend this to anyone.
