Initially, the bag I received seemed really rather large- much too big for me (5'4" in old measuring). As I recall, the delivery driver had politely offered this (*unopened) parcel as the very last one in the van- so, with no other solution, I accepted the package with a mind to check in with Amazon. As it turned out, the item passed to me is rather larger than I would have expected: considerably well made, just relatively large for this women of 5ft 4 (in old-lady measurements...). Given the unexpected complications, I thought I would have to pass it on - but this was my lucky day : the bag is gorgeous - and looks set to serve me very well indeed for some time to come...! This bag I imagined would be a traditional one based on the makers details and that it was a leather messenger bag.It would be except for one thing. The opening and closing is not the usual secure strap and buckle. It has those things but they are decorative as they do not need undoing to open the bag. It has a magnetic stud to do this. So it's not as secure as a traditional one. I think I can live with it but it loses a star for this as it does make it less trustworthy for example I see that were the bag to tip and have heavy contents like laptop there is no way the magnetic closure will prevent the bag spilling its contents laptop and all where it falls.Otherwise it's a good looking bag and I do understand some might like easy opening bags but not this commuter.

Ideal for a small laptop or iPad plus phone and other necessary items.
