Dust Bin Lid Replacement for Dyson V10/V11 Vacuum Cleaner, Bin Lid Assembly Dirt Cup Lid Dust Bin Bottom Cap Replacement Parts

I bought this lid for my Dyson V11 Cordless Cleaner after snapping the closure clasp off my original lid.I contacted Dyson direct and discovered that even though it was a very small clip of plastic, I was expected to pay over £40 for a whole new bin. I thought I would give this lid a try as I would only have to replace a single part.Before buying, I researched how I would change the lid and it seemed quite straightforward. I did think, however, that the £23.99 cost for the lid did seem steep, but I guessed it was a small amount having paid £500 for the cleaner itself.The lid arrived well packaged in a cardboard box and was of good quality. The removal of the broken lid and replacing with the new one proved to be not as simple as the video had suggested. The video did show this, but a large ended screwdriver is required to remove the broken lid, a thinner, smaller one as I had initially used was not suitable.The attachment of the spring and reattaching to the bin was very fiddly as the spring kept slipping off the lid clasps. I think this was as a result of the clasps being a little too far apart. Much huffing and puffing and frustration, I finally managed to attach the lid securely. Time taken - 1 hour 20 minutes.Now the new lid is attached and my Dyson is working brilliantly again. If you mange to break the lid of your Dyson V11, I would recommend this item as a quality replacement. Just be prepared for an hour or two of frustrated fitting.

Catch broke on my Dyson V11 bin lid and unfortunately Dyson do not do a replacement bin lid. You have to buy a complete bin for around £50. Found this aftermarket part and thought I’d give it a go. Really well made part that fits exactly. Very fiddly to replace, video of how to included with product needs to be watched a few times. You must follow all angles and positions exactly as in video but with a bit of patience it’ll fit.
