This puzzle book, "The Ultimate Logic Grid Puzzle Book," is just the thing to keep your mind sharp! As a former teacher, I always appreciated the power of a good brain teaser. It's like exercise for the mind, wouldn't you agree? And as a homeschooling pioneer, I often looked for engaging ways to help my children develop their critical thinking skills. These logic grid puzzles are perfect for that. I bought many of these kinds of books for my children and grandchildren. When they got tired of them, I finished off all the puzzles. Even now, in my retirement, I still enjoy a good mental challenge. It's a way to stay active and alert, especially on those days when traveling isn't in the cards. I can imagine sitting on my porch, sipping some tea, and working through these puzzles. They offer a good variety too, not too easy, not too frustrating – just right to get the gears turning. Plus, with 100 puzzles in the collection, there are plenty to keep me occupied. This would also make a lovely gift for my grandchildren. A well-made puzzle book like this is a wonderful alternative to just staring at a screen. But I've learned my lesson from buying logic puzzle books for others. Now I keep these books for myself.

This logic book is for all of us who know and understand the importance of using our brains to do more than just sit in our skulls , aging away, while slowly becoming weak and useless—because of boredom, disuse, and lifeless intent—just waiting and anxious to be used— to learn new things, to figure out, and to be ready for the next challenge! This book is great with a diverse sets of interesting puzzles ranging from easy to quite difficult— with the added benefits of not only having a range of difficulties— but also being fun with teaching explanations and a free included grid logic thinking and learning module in the back of the book! This book has follow-up books that continue your logic journey—you may even want to go back to college after experiencing these clever, original, and addictive puzzles! Could not recommend them any more strongly! Great for any age person wanting a mentally stimulating subject book that satisfies the yearning brain!

Just to be clear, this book also does a great job explaining logic grids to newcomers, and easing them into it with a series of 1 and 2-flame puzzles (on a scale of 1-4 "spicy-hot" flames). However, as a lover of Logic Grids, my problem has always been finding a collection that is challenging without being repetitive and boring. I scour websites (like Puzzle Baron) and have bought other books, but I often end up disappointed, or finding only a few puzzles per book that grab me. Unicorn Books really brought it all with this one. First, the book itself is a nice size - ie, font easy on the eyes, clear print and high-quality paper that makes it easy to erase. And you might erase a lot, on some of those 4-flame puzzles! The themes for the puzzles are current, interesting and cohesive (instead of just random collections of unrelated data). The 4-flame puzzles are a true challenge - not just a matter of correctly entering clues into the grid, but also collating and analyzing groups of clues, or using process of elimination within the grid, etc.; I was worried at first that there were "too many" 3-flame puzzles that wouldn't be challenging enough - but nope! Even those proved to be engaging - and I admit to having had to erase and re-do a couple of those as well! Best of all are the linked 2-grids-in-one-puzzle puzzles! Sharing a common theme, each has its own set of clues, but then there are also 1-3 clues that cross-reference the other. SUPER challenging and fun! I'm hoping Volume 2 will have even more unique twists like that - and am eagerly awaiting its arrival. Already hoping for a Volume 3 in near future!

You will find this book quite interesting. There are puzzles for all levels, beginner to seriously competitive. The puzzles are formed around believable stories and come together in neat, tidy squares. The large grids are clean and designed for easy access and clear visibility. Yes, the answers are in the back of the book and you can quickly check for hints, more important, you can work the puzzle and enjoy the complexities of a well crafted puzzle without interference or blocking answers. The pages are clear of clutter and are easy to write on, they do not bleed through. That is definitely a bonus for any puzzler. There are so many puzzles, you will enjoy plenty of time working through these interesting puzzles. An excellent escape and a great exercise for your brain. These problems are ideal for teens and their reading comprehension skills for testing purposes, it will trickle down in a good way but it is a great preparation for understanding. Seniors can enjoy plasticity exercises with this simple book, making aging enjoyable and healthier. All ages will find something to challenge and entertain them with this book.

I really love this book so far, there's a gradual increase in difficulty with each puzzle. Category locations move around a lot more in this book than others I've tried, encouraging the player to focus on the clues rather than defaulting to pattern recognition (which was my main issue with Puzzle Baron's books) My only complaints are with the print in the book itself - longer clues are printed very close to the spine of the book, making it easy to miss things like numbers hiding in the fold (photo attached). The spacing between individual clues and the spacing between each line of text, is identical, which makes it difficult to separate the clues visually. I've also found a few typos throughout the book, but so far nothing that impacts puzzle completion. If you're able to overlook or adjust to the printing issues, the puzzles themselves are very entertaining.

Ho comprato questo primo libro e successivamente anche il secondo (che devo ancora iniziare) perché già da subito si capisce la qualità di queste griglie logiche! Molto divertenti, non eccessivamente complicate (neanche semplici però), le griglie sono ampie e c'è anche molto spazio per eventualmente scrivere qualche appunto. La carta è spessa e di buona qualità, il prezzo molto buono per la quantità di griglie presenti. Preciso che il libro è in inglese.

These puzzles really keep your brain active, and I love that there is a good variety of different level and different size logic puzzles. The Ultimate challenge split into four parts (with no solutions offered), was a super challenge and one that I'm pleased to say I cracked. I sent the answers off to Unicorn books and they confirmed all the answers were correct, which was really satisfying. I cannot recommend this book highly enough and can't wait to get stuck into volume 2.

The puzzles are awesome and the editor is unbelievably involved as other comments have said. I completely recommend this addictive puzzle book.

The best logic puzzle book I’ve come across. They start out super simple but build up to some really challenging ones, which is nice. A lot of books lack the more difficult ones. Well edited, large print and good quality paper. The only thing I’d prefer was if it was spiral bound.

Very challenging and a lot of fun. Exactly what I needed to get off my phone and challenge my brain.
