## Overview

The RockvilleRBG10S is a compact 10-inch powered PA subwoofer that delivers an impressive 1200W peak power, making it ideal for DJs and house parties. With a built-in amplifier for easy setup, advanced protection features, and customizable sound controls, this subwoofer ensures high-quality audio performance in a durable and portable design.

## Description

The RBG10S is the most compact size subwoofer in the RBG series. But do not be fooled by the size. This compact subwoofer puts out big power. We use a 70 Oz magnet and a 2" voice coil in this bad boy. We actually use a larger magnet than most brands put in their 15" subs. With 1200 watts of peak power, 600 watts program power and 300 watts RMS, this subwoofer is an amazing value at only $179.95. This subwoofer has the amplifier built in, so setup is quick and easy. This powered subwoofer is perfect for DJ applications and pro audio applications. Some of our customers even use these for house parties. It is a bit overkill for a home theater application, but you can always turn down the volume. The sound quality is amazing, so if you are using this in your house you will be pleased with the sound. The built in Clip limiter circuitry protects the sub from getting damaged. This sub has polarity controls, a low pass crossover frequency control and a volume control. The rear of the unit has 1/4" and XLR combo input jacks and an XLR output. The built in pole mount socket allows you to purchase any pole and connect a PA speaker to this. The enclosure is vented and made of high quality 5/8" birch wood construction. The sub enclosure is protected with metal corners and a metal custom grill. The built in carry handles make this very portable. This item is 110/220 compatible so it can be used worldwide if you travel a lot.

Review: Rockville subwoofer - I like everything with this subwoofer Powerful, lightweight for mobile djing.highly recommend for mobile djing
Review: Great sub, but get TWO, if you can! - All I can say is getting 2 of these subs have made my gigs sound SO much better. I don't know what took me so long to purchase them, I have seen other reviews of the RBG15S sub here in desertcart where some people where "underwhelmed" by the sub. I have NO IDEA what they were listening to, but this sub will pull your house down, IF you know anything about subs in general and the fundamentals of gain/volume/crossover/boost. You might think, "well you have TWO subs, so of course they'll sound better and hit harder". While this IS true, I did my testing prior running only one sub (paired to a set of Rockville RPG 12's and it hit HARD. With both hooked up, EVERY and I do mean EVERY wall, window and fixture in my house were flexing and vibrating like crazy. It was so bad, even my garage doors were vibrating and squeaking, lol. Sub Construction - This is a very large and heavy sub, considering it is only a 15", weighing in at about 90lbs! I can't imagine getting the 18"s like I was initially planning The box is covered in carpet and has 2 slotted ports on the bottom front. There is also a blue LED on the front, so you can tell if the speaker is on (when in front of it, with no music playing). This light can be turned off. The box does not flex or creek and all the joints seem to be connected well. In order to move the sub around, I had to put them on my little mini trolly/dolly. The sub has 2 handles and these are also, like the sub, super solid. I never once was concerned about them coming off or anything. When I picked the subs up, likewise, I was never concerned about them flexing or falling apart. The sound - Like I've already mentioned, the sub is pretty powerful and if you know a thing or 2 about sub audio, you can get it sounding tight and fairly accurate. The sub has 2 ways for LINE IN/THRU being a combination XLR/1/4" port. The OUT is 2 XLR connections. For BEST sound I'd suggest using XLR from the Sub to your Tops, IF they are XLR. If your speakers are RCA only, you could do a cable with an XLR side and RCA on the other and run that form the sub to your tops. On the back is Level (aka Volume/Gain), a Crossover and Boost selector. I have my subs in the 11 O'Clock positions (-3) without any Boost options and the crossover at about 100hz. With this setting, the music my clients ask for [Reggae, House, Hip Hop, R&B, Soul and Jazz] sound GREAT. I did play with the Boost options (power and extended) for a few minutes, but these seemed gimmicky at best and fell off at higher levels, and to me sounded artificial. If you find the Bass to be over or underwhelming, you can cut that back or add it through your DJ Controller itself. I find myself adjusting it through the night depending on what I'm playing and at what time (Lounge, Dinner, Dancing). Again, I cannot over stress the importance of understanding Sub-Bass, Gains and Volumes and would suggest doing a little research on the net. If you don't have time for that, you can do as I did: 1) Avoid turning the sub ALL THE WAY up when testing. 2) run the tops first, then slowly turn the sub up until it fills out the bottom end, right to the point before it begins to play the same bass as the 12"'s. 3) Allow for a break-in period by playing your initial practice set at lower levels to give the speakers a chance to get going for the task. [SET UP NOTES] If you are using one sub with two separate speakers - simply run the left and right XLR out of your controller into the subs left and right Input/Thru and then run the left OUT to your left Top and the right OUT to your right Top. Nice and simple. For best sound, place the sub somewhere between the 2 speakers. If you are running 2 subs - run the left XLR cable from your Controller to the left sub Input/THRU and then run from the left OUT to your left Top. Run the right XLR cable from your Controller to the right sub Input/THRU and then run from the right OUT to your right Top. I know this seems like it shouldn't work, however, subs can work on a Mono channel, so having one signal to the sub is just fine. NOTE: if you run yours system like this, you will need to purchase On Stage SS7745 Adjustable Subwoofer Attachment or something similar so that you have one top over each sub, and then place the complete set to the left and right. All I can say is I love my subs and they sound incredible at an inside venue...

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Can this be used for home theater setup, and run signal from the sub out on my receiver using an XLR adapter?**
A: yes , most receivers have a subwoofer low level (un amplified) RCA output. You could use an RCA X 1/4" TPS . RCA would plug into receiver and 1/4" TPS to Rockville sub. Remember the input on the sub is XLR - 1/4" combo . Which means you could plug either one into same input on subwoofer. You asked about using XLR . You do do that but I'm willing to bet it'd be easy to find a cable with RCA on one end and 1/4" TPS at the other vs RCA on one end and XLR at the other end. Either will work!

**Q: I am doing an outdoor dance and will be about 100' from a power source, what size extention cord will I need to power this sub?**
A: I always buy ... #12 AWG...wire extension cord either 100'...or two 50 footers. That size will be more than adequate for most any application around your house or outside.Get two fifties much easier to use a fifty when you need one around the house or outside if you don't require a 100' er.

**Q: I have the rbg15. I was thinking of buying the rbg18. Can i run both of these with my peavey pv115d's?**
A: Yes. Depends on how many outputs you have on the mixer. You can run a rca out to dmx cable to the speakers.

**Q: Puedo usarlo para monitor de bajo?**
A: No ,yo soy musico y la verdad es tremenda equipo pero para Usarlo DJ systems.
La frecuencia del Bajo es mas fuerte y profunda .
