Quality backpack/teddy
I bought two rucksacks, one for my son and another for his cousin, both two years old. My only remark is that they arrived about two weeks apart, but that is only because the one arrived faster than I had payed for.The rucksack cannot contain very much, a few small toys tops, but it hardly matters since it is a toy in itself.My son is very happy with his, and likes to place his toy animals in Gruffalo's belly when he packs for short outings. His cousin is even more infatuated with his Gruffalo and never parts with him, he even takes him to bed at night.The Gruffalo looks very cute when carried on their backs and is animated when the feet dangle as they walk along.The shoulder straps are a little long for petite two year olds.I am very happy with this purchase.

His eyes are orange, his tongue is black, he has purple prickles all over his ba... oh, er, no he doesn't have those :(
My daughter adores The Gruffalo, and so I bought her this for her birthday. She was very pleased. The storage inside is not great, so it wouldn't be good as a school bag, but ideal for taking out on short family trips. Quality is great and the stitching is strong. Only quibble is... where are the purple prickles on his back? I know you wouldn't see them as it's a backpack, but still it's not 100% faithful to the description in the book :P

Fantastic quality, just not much room inside
Beautiful backpack, very fluffy and soft. Very good quality. The only thing is that there's not much room to put things inside as it is actually a stuffed teddy but ... kids can't carry much anyway so it's OK in my case. Don't regret this purchase at all.

Nice quality but no carrying space.
This is more like a stuffed toy with a zip in the back. The space is tiny so you can't really put anything in it. Spare pants and that is about all.

Such a cute backpack!
Being a fan of Axel Schiffer's work, I decided to order myself a backpack.It's very adorable, I get positive remarks on it quite often, although it is flimsy and breaks quite a bit, however a few stiches, and he's ready to go again!There isn't much room inside the backpack, but this makes it just great for a day bag, and if you want to pack light; almost feels as if the backpack isn't even there.

Gruffalo Rucksack
A must for any Gruffalo fan- much more useful having a backpack than just having a plush toy!!! Educational if The Gruffalo is a family favourite and you together recite parts of the book as it then becomes an educational memory game. Good quality so far with no problems at all. Verdict- RECOMMENDED PRODUCT

Lovely bag with average sized pocket size enough for a few toys and drinks bottle. Nice purple zip to replicate purple prickle that Gruffalo has and bag doesn't. My daughter love it. Nice to cuddle too. A toy and bag on one.
