Elf Expert Liquid Liner has been my go to eyeliner for the past 15+ years! It is easy to use, stays fresh, and creates highly-pigmented precision definition. Although I've noticed the pricing go up over the years (as with everything else), it is still relatively overall affordable. It doesn't smudge, is not irritating to my sensitive skin, and is versatile depending on how thick you want to apply it. Great for clear definition of your eyes that lasts all day! And sometimes all night if you accidentally fall asleep in it. ;) I appreciate it because it stays on but is easy to remove with cleanser, since I usually don't prefer waterproof makeup.

to start, let me say that in the photo attached, I just woke up from an accidental 4-hour nap. as you can see, the eyeliner didn't budge a centimeter. consider me impressed! that being said, the only thing I'm not too fond of is that the jet black dries with slightly cool/blue undertones, so it's more like....charcoal black. however, I've found that waiting for it to dry (which is not that long, surely under 20 seconds) and applying a second trace-over does the job to get it REALLY jet black. maybe I just have high standards for what's considered "jet black", but for me personally, one coat is not THAT black. other than that, it's a good little eyeliner that allows for extraordinary precision and tiny razor-sharp tails. it doesn't smudge or budge, as I said, and it's definitely waterproof—I've been caught in pouring rain, and all of my makeup was sliding off EXCEPT this eyeliner. she's reliable, for sure. I wouldn't recommend for beginners with makeup—you need a honed and steady hand for this kind of applicator, and there's no margin for error since it dries so fast—but I don't think beginners would be buying a liquid eyeliner anyway. regardless, I like it. will almost definitely repurchase, unless I can find something darker

I have had issues in the past with finding a good liquid eyeliner. One brand I used for years changed their formula and when used, the eyeliner would flake off my eyes. So I have very happy to finally find a liquid eyeliner that actually works and stays on. The ELF liquid eyeliner works great. I have not had any issues so far with it. It goes on easy and stays put, and is affordable. I am giving it give (5) stars.

It’s a good eyeliner if you are looking for affordable however it’s not the best color payoff. It has great payoff if you are looking for amount of eyeliner which it holds. Dries quickly enough but not lightning fast. Pretty smooth glide and lasts long on outer eyes (not so much near inner corner).

Although I have very watery eyes, this eyeliner lasted me all night! It makes putting on eyeliner soo much easier. It stays on the entire day and is easy to take off with makeup wipes. Otherwise there is no smudging! Buy this now for flawless eyeliner like whattt

I give three stars because I have not worn it all day yet. It was VERY smooth. I am in my late 30’s, so liquid eyeliner often seeps into my eyelid creases. I did not have this issue. The brush does not expand like some when you glide across the eye. I like that. The color is very dark, just as black eyeliner should be. The size is good as someone that doesn’t wear makeup often. I think I’ll last some time. I will update my review after the day is done. I will go about my day, when I go to bed, I will leave my eye make up on. I want to test it against a crazy sleeper. 1 star for longevity and 1 star for waterproof. I have allergies and very water eyes. I want to test the corners of my eyes near the wing. UPDATE: it is not waterproof but it is watery eye proof. I went to the fair with my daughter and laughed so hard I cried. It did not bleed but it faded. It lasted all day. It wasn’t as perfect as it was when I first put it on but still looked good. I would say it’s worth it. It actually amazing for the price. GO ELF!

I’ve bought this multiple times! It’s easy to get sharp lines with this and it glides really well. Unfortunately in the years I’ve used this, it always smudges and fades after some hours, even with powder, setting spray and primer. Keep in mind, I do have oily skin and use oil based products though, so it might work for you!
