Great bar for milling, but you might want to upgrade the oiler on your chainsaw with this big bar
Works great for milling logs. However, the sprocket broke after less than 2 hours. I suspect it may have been dropped during manufacturing or shipping. Neo-tec thinks it was a lack of lubrication, but is sending a new tip. In any case, Neo-Tec recommends a high-output oiler for a 36" bar on something like my m660 head. I think that's a good idea anyway to reduce bar wear regardless of the tip. Still happy with it. I know things can happen, and Neo-Tec handled it graciously. I'll still give them 5 stars for responding quickly and making it right.

NS872 with 28" bar.
For just under $300 with powerhead, bar and chain I was skeptical. I have a TB4620, which was no match for a 36" willow I needed to remove due to wind damage. Bought the NS872 because of the price. When it arrived, I could not start it to save my life. Tuned the carb to baseline (1.5 turn L and H) and it started in 3 pulls. Since I need to break-in the powerhead I have yet to see what this thing can do at full throttle. Even at 3/4 throttle this thing just ate even with the full bar buried. It does like fuel, but a small price for the power. The saw has some weight to it which can get tiring but the torque on this thing is ridiculous...very happy with this purchase.

Fits my Stihl nicely.
My saw originally had a 24 inch bar and I wanted something a little longer. So far this is working great. It fit my still saw with no issues at all. The chain is very sharp and really cuts through the wood quickly. It arrived very quickly and was packaged well, no damage to bar or chain. I am very happy with this purchase and would recommend it to others.

Was skeptical but actually pretty good bar and chain
I was actually skeptical about buying it but it's holding up pretty good. I clear land for a living so I use a chainsaw every day. Got the 24" bar and installed it on a Sthil MS500i. It will definitely slang the shavings. The chain does stretch a little bit every chain is going to stretch some.

Works ok
The bar and chain fit and worked well. I liked it because it has a sprocket on the bar tip unlike other bars.

Excellent cutting chain and well made bar
I put the new Neotec 25 inch bar and chain on my Stihl MS 462 C today and was blown away by the excellent cutting power of the chain! Super sharp! I cut thru 24inch fir logs in about 7 to 10 seconds! In fact, it was kinda scary at how instantaneously the chain sliced thru whatever I touched! I went thru some very thick logs today and that chain is still razor sharp! Oh, and I goofed at one point and got my bar pinched in an angled tree (dumbness on my part), and had to sledgehammer the branch my bar was caught in to free the saw. I was pretty worried that I'd bent the bar, but aside from some chipped paint the bar was fine and I went back to work. I would definitely recommend this bar and chain and will absolutely buy them again if needed.

Great quality bar and chain.
This 28" bar and chain worked great on a 72cc saw cutting ~24inch trees. I will definitely buy again when I need to replace it.

Laminate junk
Cuts great for a little while. Then the bar edges begin to chip off. This makes the chain jump off. Eventually the tip sprocket gets broken or destroyed with the chain jumping. Save your money!
