Solid WiFi smart switches with good HomeKit and Home Assistant integration
I installed several of these switches (8 total so far) over the past two years as part of a larger smart-home setup running Home Assistant as the primary controller with HomeKit for family-friendly control (aka Wife Acceptance Factor WAF) and they’ve performed very well so far. They connect over WiFi without any stability issues, respond quickly to local commands, and integrate cleanly into both platforms. Once added to Home Assistant, exposing them to HomeKit was straightforward and they show up exactly as expected in Apple Home. From a hardware standpoint, the switches feel solid and the relay action is consistent with no missed presses or delays. WiFi signal strength seems good even in boxes that aren’t especially close to an access point, and I haven’t seen them drop offline since installation. They also continue to function normally as physical switches, which is important in a mixed household where not everyone uses apps or voice control. One tip that made setup much easier: I powered each switch up outside the wall box first, added it to Home Assistant, assigned the final name/location, and then mounted it. Doing this avoids guessing which device is which later, especially if you’re installing multiple switches at once. I also recommend reserving DHCP addresses for them so Home Assistant doesn’t have to rediscover them. Overall, these worked exactly the way I wanted for a Home Assistant + HomeKit environment. Not the cheapest option, but reliable, clean integration, and no cloud dependency once everything is configured. Definitely would - and likely will - buy again.

Easy enough to install but read instruction to know what install choice works.
This is easy to install BUT read the instructions and follow the recommended choice of switch to install this. Otherwise you will never figure it out and it will not install. Yes you can be on your 5.4 ghz network as long as you install the switch on a 2.4 ghz network. Kasa only works on 2.4 ghz networks. To add to Homekit, first install the swithc via th e Kasa app. Then under the device's settings, see "add to HomeKit". You will be prompted to scan the barcode encolosed with the switch inside the box. Scan it and in 30 seconds, you are done. Name the switch and yes it can be the same name as used in the Kasa act. In fact, I see no reason to call a switch by two different names in two different apps. That is confusion. The install is easy. Line is power, and load is what the switch will turn on and off. This can be integrated into Alexa and Goggle Home. Load could be a light or a simple fan. This switch is not a dimmer which is what I wanted to turn my fan on and off while in bed. I did not want the dimming feature because my fan light and fan speed I control with a remote. However at night I may want to turn it onr or off from bed without having to get up. I have this switch in a few spots in my house front door light, heater room. really anwyere where you have a single pole light and you want Alexa to turn it off or on or if you want a scheule for the light to turn on and off while away traveling, or if you are in bed and you want to turn on the downstairs door lights. Remember, you cannot add this directly to Homekit even if you scan the barcode. the device can only be installed into Homekit by using the KASA app and the device' settings then scanning in the barcode.

Quick and easy!
I installed the Kasa Apple HomeKit Smart Light Switch KS200P3 at my shop, and it has been an excellent upgrade. The fast response time is impressive—whether I use Alexa or the Kasa app, the lights turn on and off almost instantly. Now, after locking up, I no longer have to walk all the way up front to shut the lights off—I can do it remotely from my Samsung Galaxy or with voice commands through my Sonos Alexa-enabled speakers. Also, a neat feature is the switches have a little glowing circle when they are off so you can easily see them in the dark. I can also program them via Alexa skill or the Kasa app to turn on and off at a certain time. As an IT professional, the app set up is really nice and well thought out. My mother could set it up once wired in, it's that simple. Pros: ✔ Fast and Reliable Response – No noticeable delay when controlling through the app or Alexa. ✔ Alexa Compatible – Works flawlessly with my Sonos Alexa-enabled speakers. ✔ No Hub Required – Connects directly to 2.4GHz Wi-Fi. ✔ Well-Built and UL Certified – Feels solid, and I trust the safety rating. ✔ 3-Pack Value – Great price for three switches. FYI: ⚠ Stranded Wire Leads – Instead of screw terminals like traditional switches, these use pre-attached stranded wires that must be wire-nutted to your solid house wiring. This adds a bit of bulk in the electrical box, especially in tight spaces. ⚠ Neutral Wire Required – If you don’t have a neutral wire, these won’t work. Make sure to check your wiring before purchasing. Overall, these switches work flawlessly and are a great addition to my smart shop setup. The only minor downside is the wiring method, but most smart switches are like that and once installed, they function perfectly. If you’re looking for fast, responsive, and reliable smart switches, these are an excellent choice.

There ok
I really like these. They’re really easy to install and set up, but it seems that if you don’t use them, they freeze and you have to restart them so my solution was to just set an automatic timer that turns them off and on once a day and now they seem to work fine now.

Great for Local Control in Home Assistant
I had been using different Shelly modules behind traditional light switches, but the Shelly modules kept dying and I couldn't figure out why. I decided to substitute these in instead of the Shelly modules as these were well reviewed and I like the paddle switch look. I luckily had an available neutral wire in my switches electrical box, and installation went very easily. I connected each switch to my IOT WiFi network without issue which is actually a big deal for me. As my IOT WiFi network blocks WAN (internet) access by default, I have run into problems with some products from other manufacturers which require the device to have internet access before it declares setup successful. I did briefly allow each switch online so it could update with the shipped firmware (1.0.5) to the latest before blocking their internet access once more. Home Assistant found them very quickly via the "TP-Link" integration (I used the "TP-Link Smart Home sub-setting after selecting TP-Link), and I was able to add them to the appropriate room and control them with my voice assistant. This all worked without the switches having any access to the internet (a.k.a. local or offline control), which was exactly what I wanted! Note: I had some minor, brief wireless drop-outs with two of the three switches in Home Assistant, but that all went away once I updated the switches to the latest firmware; they have been rock-solid since. THANK YOU SO MUCH to TP-Link for giving consumers to control their smart devices without having to resort to yet another cloud service! The only thing that would improve my experience is if I could update the switches firmware via Home Assistant (ideally) or via a web interface local to each device similar to how Shelly does it.

Perfect for Apple Home
I bought these switches 2 years ago, they’ve been working flawlessly, and were taking them with us in a move. We’ve gotten so used to using them through Siri that after removing them, we still catch ourselves asking Siri to turn off the lights haha. They’re also very nice for checking to make sure all the lights are off at home remotely, but also for setting up automations like turning the bedroom light on in the morning to help us wake our tired butts up. In terms of set-up, we live in a much older building (built in the late 30’s), and the electrical infrastructure reflects that, but they were still very easy to install and didn’t put up much of a fuss. The light switch itself may prove a snug fit, but in the end everything was able to be nicely tucked away in the wire box. The un-obtrusive status light on the switch is also very nice, as it’ll let you know immediately if it’s having issues communicating with the hub. In the very rare instances this occurred, a simple click of the Reset button (accessible without having to take anything apart) would always do the trick. Overall, I’ll keep using these smart switches as long as I can. Even if I transition out of Apple’s ecosystem, these still work in plenty of other smart home systems.

Incredibly happy with these.
I had originally been installing Leviton Decora smart switches in my house but the pricing on those has skyrocketed and I found these when looking for a more affordable alternative. I'm glad I did as I absolutely love them and they have been more reliable than my existing Leviton devices which has me wanting to rip and replace all of those as well. Installation is simple though your home does need to be wired with a neutral (mine is). Setup is very straight forward and integration with both Google Home and my local Home Assistant instance was a breeze once the devices were online. If I had to pick anything to be critical of, the paddle of the switch is only activated on the bottom, so unlike the Leviton switches where you push the top of the paddle to turn the switch on and the bottom for off, these you only push the bottom. In reality, I bought smart switches to not have to touch the paddle, and all the difference does for me is increase my desire to remove the Leviton curse from my home to have consistent actuation throughout. If you are looking for a great quality switch for a reasonable price, you found it with these. Also, you are not limited to using the faceplates shown. I removed those as almost all of the switches I installed went into double gang bosses where I used the original double gang plates. They look great!

Difíciles de usar
No son tan fáciles de usar y se requiere que la instalación eléctrica de la casa esté hecha en condiciones muy específicas.
