It cuts pills cleanly and accurately. It has an adjustable clamp that holds pills securely in place, which is very helpful. I used it to split 10 mg pills into 2.5 mg pieces, and it handled that easily and consistently without the pills sliding around. One downside is cleanup. Because the material is very grippy, pill dust tends to stick to it after cutting. You cannot just rinse it off quickly. It usually takes a bit of scrubbing to fully clean the residue. That said, the grip is also what makes it effective at holding pills steady, so it is a reasonable trade-off.
