M.Y. family Home building block set
The box for the M.Y. Family Home building block set is huge so it was disappointing to open it and find more empty empty space than packages containing bricks and other parts. The bricks are colourful and the instruction book detailed enough to be followed by our 8 year old. Fitting door and window panes into the respective frames was fiddly and needed adult help, as did putting the character hands into the arms. Many parts are very small. Good value as bought as a Black Friday offer.

Stressful
Ordered this item for my daughters birthday. Plus side- The Lego itself is very generous, there’s about nine hundred and fifty million pieces, so it looks absolutely sick when you buy it and it’s a decent price- winner winner.Now down to the building. Well my daughter had NO HOPE. No hope at all. You start building and the little blocks ping off every two minutes which is cause for a glass of wine and a stress relieving scream or three. The windows are REALLY fiddly I mean they don’t sit functionally in the frames and the doors like a centimetre short for the doorframe... I mean okay. No dramas.So far about 4 hours into the build. Backs aching. Fingers are sore. I hate it. The instructions are bloody awful as they don’t accurately represent the build so youve just gotta hope for the best.Shoved it 1/3rd built in a cupboard for now. Gonna try again when my little one is asleep. Good present in theory and presentation is beautiful, but unless you’re hubby is a builder I’d ditch this and get a ready built dolls house.

Great value but very difficult to build!
This product is an impressive size with lots going on for the price - great value. I have only given it 3 stars because it came with a couple of bits missing. Also the instructions are inadequate - not up to the standard of pricier competitor brands. Due to this my 6 year old who is very particularly good at these sorts of kits and unusually patient for a child, got so frustrated she has temporarily given up on it. I took a look and decided it was so complicated to follow it will have to wait until I have plenty of free time!

Just as good
These blocks are really cool! Sometimes a little bit trickier to connect blocks but really just as good as the alternative at much much better price.

Basis of a home for the family
Poor construction but obtained useful parts for other models - can be improved by using brick blocks and adding a garage with an up and over door - also needed additional flat plates and roof parts to match existing roof.

Great alternative to the branded bricks
This house was fantastic, considerably bigger than I anticipated for the price. The instructions were as clear as the usual lego ones although sometimes differcult to choose the right purple shade when there were several to chose from. The only problem I had was that I finally got to the end of the build and discovered I was a few bricks short, but that was easy to solve with some strategic changes. Overall I would highly recommend

Impressively large box
As a gift, it looks like you've spent loads more than you did. Although I'm not sure a certain Danish plastic brick manufacturer will be happy with the abuse of copyright, it does add nicely to any existing collection you probably have.
