Wow
I slept like a baby. It’s weighted but a light layer. I’m amazed. First when I took it out the pack it was very heavy but once you open it , it gets light. I have back problems and I did not feel a thing. I am so in love with this blanket. It is worth every penny. Please purchase if you want a peaceful sleep. Even better with the AC on.

Helps sleep, a bit wide for 1 person sharing a queen bed, seems fine in warmer temps
Update after 6 months: the blanket is holding up well, and I still find it useful for when I feel anxious or might have trouble falling asleep, but I do put it aside for other times if the temp isn't ideal. When the house is warmest (78F) with the fan on it's okay when I'm chilly falling asleep, then I tend to be warmer later in the night/morning, and at that point I sometimes take the blanket off. When the house is cold (68-70F) I'm glad to have this blanket! It seems to hold heat only for a short time (it cools off when I pull it down to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night). I think I've learned to sleep under it in a way that less of the blanket bunches between me and my partner (he doesn't use it), and it doesn't fall off the bed anymore, but I do still wish it was narrower, because that does still happen sometimes. There was a while where I was concerned about pressure on my knees but those aches have gone away. Overall, still feeling it's a good purchase.---original post---I waited 3 months to write a review so I could write you a novel with some real experience behind it.First, the only reason this is 4 and not 5 stars is that I sleep with my partner in a queen bed, but only I use the weighted blanket, and the problem is that it's a bit too wide and bunches up in-between us. It feels passive-aggressive to have several pounds's worth of blanket form a barrier in the middle of the bed due to the excess width. And it's pretty difficult to re-adjust that much of the blanket's weight while lying under it and trying not to wake a sleeping partner one foot away. The mid-bed barrier is the alternative to having the extra width sliding off the outer edge of the bed and dragging large parts (or all) of the blanket off with it. If I was a bigger-around person this might not be such a problem and I might need the extra width (I'm less than 40" around at my widest part). Maybe a small-adult size would be nice; this was the smallest they offered that would cover me from shoulders to toe (I didn't want just a throw for sleeping in bed). The best solution I've found is folding under the outer-edge length of the blanket so it's just wide enough to cover me, and having the weighted blanket sandwiched between the sheets and another blanket to help hold that in place--and probably also sleeping more still and moving more carefully when I shift sleeping positions (that got easier pretty quickly with experience). The experience of sleeping with it--other than the issue above--has been good. It took a few days to learn how to sleep under it so it doesn't as easily get pulled off the bed. I find it helps to make the bed daily, so when I get in it's arranged right and flat (that's easy enough to pull it flat and re-fold the edge when I get up). If I don't straighten it before sleeping it's too wonky and doesn't cover me right or gets pulled off the bed or into the center too easily.I find it is comforting and it seems to be helping my sleep. Admittedly, I'm also practicing other sleep hygiene strategies, but I think on the whole where I practice those less consistently, the blanket has been consistent and I'd say my sleep in the past few months has been better than before. I tried it on the couch a couple times for what might be "restless legs" but it's just too heavy to carry back and forth, and I didn't want it to get dirty. It is a bother to lift off the bed to change the sheets since I have some minor shoulder issues, but it's not prohibitive.Something I didn't see much about in reviews before I bought was how it feels in warmer climates. I live in north-central FL where it gets hot and humid, and we don't use AC until we have to, so the house has been at about the hottest we allow lately, 78F, with no AC to remove the moisture (though it's nowhere near as bad as that can get around here, it's probably relatively high humidity for other regions). Sometimes we've had the fan on but most nights not so far this year. I don't have a duvet so I've kept this blanket on top of a light bedsheet, and have continued having a medium-light blanket on top of the weighted blanket (as we get warmer I plan to trade that out for duvet on the weighted blanket; either way I want this thing protected because I don't want to try to wash it if it gets dirty). So with all that, I've been sleeping pretty comfortably, temperature-wise. Bear in mind, I'm generally cold-blooded, so I'm afraid I still can't say much about what it'll be like for normal-temp people. My guess is if you don't use AC you'd get a bit warm under it; I do sometimes feel a little on the warm side lately (I think the beads retain heat a little, even though the fabric can feel pleasantly cool). It was nice when it was colder out (we also don't turn the heat up much in winter, so it stayed chilly inside, as low as 68F.

More steady sleep
With this weighted blanket I seem to sleep longer, more restful and a deeper sleep. I don’t wake up every two hours or so. I’m eager for the cover to arrive tomorrow. The air conditioning is on in the house but this blanket is comfortable temperature wise. I like it!!!

Comfy
I got this for my husband for Christmas, and he loves it. We got the kids size and it’s perfect for 1 person who wants their feet to stick out. He’s says it doesn’t make him sweat, unlike our big comforter. That’s good- more comforter for me :)

As Described, Very Happy/Mixed Emotions!
The media could not be loaded. Mixed Emotions StillUPDATE: 11/17/2020I haven't had this blanket 3 months and it's leaking the sand! I'm not sure of where it is çoming from, it seems to be coming from all areas of the blanket (see attached photos). With that said, I'm going to have take back some stars, changing to 3.I love the blanket and it keeps me asleep, weight is good, it's just leaking. I don't see any torn or separated seams?********************************Okay, I received my weighted blanket on October 18th & my Duvet Cover on October 17th, both received on time as stated.Okay now for the review! I have not tried the weighted blanket before now, so this is my first time and I have mixed emotions. I read the reviews for different sites, and wow they differ so much. The description that I read for this blanket said it had glass beads, but mine, the one I received has sand in it. Check out my video.Getting this out of the box, into the duvet cover and on my bed, OMG was a serious workout!!! 🙂 I mean it weighs a ton, not really only 25 lbs, but wow, I had to take a nap after putting it finally on my bed.Okay, for me this was so time consuming 1) because I had to figure out the assembly of the duvet cover and the weighted blanket and tying them together. After inserting the blanket into the cover, I discovered I had it going the wrong direction, it did not sit correctly. 2) After readjusting the blanket in the cover and sleeping with it for about a week, I hated the cover. The blanket would shift and it would be all on one side weighing the heck out of me. I guess because of the material the cover is made of, the blanket slips and slides so to speak. So now I sleep with the blanket only, which I find is much better. I'm able to be covered fully and sleep comfortably throughout the night. And it fits you like a glove, a great big snugly hug.PROS:I love the weight of my blanket, it's 25 lbs and is not too heavyIt's described as they say it isThe size is just right for my California King bed, if you like to just fit. It is not hanging over the sidesI'm a side sleeper so it's comfortable and helps with keeping my legs straight instead sleeping in a fetal position, I need to have knee surgery and my knees are always hurting during sleepingI love the color and the material seem to be a good quality and the craftsmanship is good so farGreat purchaseCONSIt does get hot under the blanket, so I keep my thermostat at about 70 degrees, and my ceiling fan on low and I can sleep comfortably through the night, before, I would get up and turn down the thermostat, turn on the ceiling fan, and trust me when I say I'm a cold nature person and can take a lot of heat. So if you're a hot nature person, you may have to adjust your temperature to accommodate a good night's sleep. It's very heavy, depending on weight you purchase, but if you have any problems with heavy lifting you may need help, which is what I needed since I live alone, but did it by myself anyone.Do not buy the duvet cover if you don't think you need, especially if you think it's going to "help" with the weighted blanket, because in my opinion it does not.Overall, after sleeping with just the blanket for a week, I'm much happier than I thought originally. If you've never tried the weighted blanket, try it, it comes in different weights and there is a size for everyone, this is a good purchase and I would recommend this blanket!!

Seems well made, not sure how much difference it makes
After looking at so many of these where people talked about the beads leaking out, I was worried. But it has held up well after about 6 months of daily use - no leaking beads here. Feels very soft and the beads seem to stay inside their respective squares so I feel the quality is there. I honestly can't say that it had any effect on my sleep but I got what I paid for so no complaints.

Soft, nice weigh
This was a gift to my adult son who lives far away. When he comes home it's one of the first things he wants to use my weighted blanket. So he was so happy to receive our gift.Weighted blankets has many benefits, but for us any time of day when I have racing thoughts and exhaustion a few minutes rest under this blanket can calm all that and help me fell refreshed.

In love with the blanket
Purchased for my husband who likes a weighted feel when sleeping. This was better than ordering a heavier duvet because he can easily use wrapped around him when sat in recliner. He has health problems so rest is important and he absolutely loves the blanket. I’ve put an old double duvet cover to help protect, it’s not a perfect fit but does the job. Recently went away and didn’t take the blanket…..it was the first thing he went for on return to rest up. We are now aiming to buy a smaller version that we can take away with us in the future.

I love it, but it's not "cooling"...
I'm enjoying my new blanket. The weight of it certainly takes some getting used to, but it does feel nice wrapped around you at night. One thing though - it definitely isn't "cooling", I have no idea why they are marketing it as such. I live in Japan and it is 30c plus most summer nights. This blanket does nothing to cool you down. But I'm looking forward to autumn, because I will finally get to enjoy it properly.Overall I think a lot of people will like this product, just ignore the "cooling" bit.

Weighted blanket flops around too much
Its so soft and warm, but sadly even with the ties, the weighted blanket moves/flops around too much in the cover.

So glad i came across an online article about weighted blanket. This really helps my son to sleep well at night. Night terror session reduced significantly. Worth a try.
