Hasegawa 1:48 Scale AH-64D Apache Longbow Model Kit

I haven’t done kits since I was a kid but decided to do a couple during this lock-down period to take me away from my work and help me focus on something different. This is my second model, first was an F35 and it was enjoyable to build. The detail is amazing with lots of fiddly bits to keep the mind focused and hands steadyThis time round I have taken my time spending about 20 minutes a day and painted the entire model (unlike when I was younger, I’d just glue everything together in about 20 minutes flat). The only issue I have is there are some holes missing for some of the antenna. Apart from that, excellent, may do one more before we get back to some form of normality

I'm sure the model is great but it was delivered today packaged loose in a paper bag.Amazon are renowned for cardboard boxes but they chose to deliver this fragile plastic model kit in a thin paper bag. Not surprisingly the kit box was crushed and there are signs of pressure damage to the packaging inside the kit. The model is well reviewed online and I was looking forward to receiving it but it's a shame it's arrived in poor condition.

This model is almost 100% correct and of far higher quality than the Italeri or Revell kits. The tooling of the others are inaccurate and have been poorly retrofitted to make versions of the D model apache. The plastic styrene used is also of far worse quality than this kit.If you want to build a real AH-64D model, this kit is the only choice bar none.
