Provides a solid upgrade to mobile gaming
I've only used this controller for a short time on a couple iOS versions of arcade games (Street Fighter and Crazy Taxi) and I have to say, I'm quite pleased with this. Solid button and joystick controls all the way around and a great feel in the hand. Its not 100% comparable to a regular gaming controller, but for a product of this time, it provide a very solid offering.Out of the box, it is very easy to set up. Just slide your phone in and pair via bluetooth. I use a very large iPhone with a very thick case and it will still fit into this controller. Made me quite pleased considering that I thought about getting something similar like a Backbone, but that controller I believe requires you to remove the case from your phone so it can plug into the connector. With this device, no physical connection to your phone is necessary and that made me happy.I don't have Xbox or PC Game Pass yet so I haven't had a chance to try it with those games, but for regular mobile games, it works great out of the box. So far I haven't had to configure any buttons, the controller's default button configuration did the trick. For mobile ports of classic games like Street Fighter or Crazy Taxi, the controller worked very well. It doesn't really do well for menu navigation (some games it won't work at all and you'll still have to use the touchscreen to navigate). But during gameplay, it does the job and does it quite well. Its definitely a solid and recommended upgrade over touchscreen controls. So all in all, I'm quite pleased with this. Longevity I'll have to wait and see, but so far I can say that this is a solid mobile controller offering if you're in the market for something like this.

Great product not what I expected
So I’ve been really into mobile gaming as of lately especially with my new iPhone, so I was looking for a really good decent controller for it. I found this one and I saw the brand and I knew that it was going to be a very high-quality one, so I went ahead and picked it up.I should’ve read the description more effective. This was a only Bluetooth headset so it will connect via the lighting port but it does it. So if you have any experience with Bluetooth controllers, you know that there is a bit of a lag with some of the games specifically FPS games so unfortunately I did have that problem but other than that it was a great controller. Like I said the quality is still insane.

Solid controller but uncomfortable for longer periods
I'll have to preface this with the fact that I'm not a gamer. I don't play much on any platform but I thought it might be fun to use this controller on my iPhone.Overall, the build of this controller feels solid. The sliding mechanism seems really sturdy. It's a little odd that the model number and other info can only be seen (bottom) when you expand the controller instead of on the bottom part that is always visible. There's another model above this one with handles that I'm guessing would make it much more comfortable to play for longer periods of time. With this one, my hands got tired after playing for a couple of hours. Part of the reason is that my pinky fingers had to support the iPhone with the controller.I was able to play games from the Apple Arcade and also from the Xbox game pass using this controller. Well, I only tried 2 on apple arcade (NBA2k23 and Angry Birds Reloaded), and 1 on Xbox game pass (Guardians of the Galaxy). Guardians of the galaxy was fun but difficult for me to play and, as I said, became uncomfortable after a while with this controller that doesn't have handles. I'd suggest spending a little more and getting the one with handles. The manual is online only which was a little disappointing. An insert in the box has the URL to go to to get download/read the manual.Setup was as easy as turning on the controller and pairing it (per the instructions in the manual).Note that there were a few differences between the manual and the actual controller:- A couple of icons on the buttons are different: the view button and the "Nexus" button.- The manual shows a led indicator light above the "nexus" (or home) button. The controller has no such led light.- The battery led light actually has 4 little lights indicating charging strength. The manual shows only one light. The controller fits fine with my iPhone 13 pro max but the camera bump makes it sit a little unevenly. It's worse if my case is on it since the case has some extra protection around the cameras. The controller had room to stretch out about another 3/4 inches to fit something even larger than the iPhone 13 pro max (which, for phones, there isn't anything larger right now).Overall, I like it and will probably use it on occasion but I'd prefer the controller with handles.

It's good, not perfect, but still on the top end of the category.
I'll begin with a disclaimer that although we have iphones in the house (a 6s and an 11 pro max), they aren't my primary phones and I use android much more often. So, I am probably in the amateur category as an iphone user and gamer That said, the 11 pro max fit nicely in the gamepad. The phone feels very secure in it. The gamepad connected easily to the phone. Everything worked pretty well and the buttons were easy to use. I didn't like that there didn't seem to be an actual power button on the controller, but it's not really a big deal. There was a reset on the back, which I haven't needed to use. I don't have xbox game pass, but the app store games we had that supported it all worked well. Certainly, there is always room for improvement. It's not quite like having a high end standalone controller, but it's close; and to be able to turn the iphone into a portable gaming system like a switch is fantastic. Touchscreens are great, but they can't replace a good gamepad on a lot of types of game. We are really happy with this so far for the casual gaming that we do.
