Our premium grade cultivated wild rice is harvested in Minnesota and is 100% natural. The only ingredient is wild rice! No preservatives, salt, or other rices added. Three-eighths of an inch (3/8") long grain. Expands almost 3 times when cooked. Use 1 cup (about 0.4 pounds) of uncooked wild rice to make 4 generous portions. Used for soups, stews, and casseroles, as well as side dishes, stuffing, entrees, and salads. Sold in a convenient, resealable poly bag.

**Q: Is this rice grown with pesticides or herbicides?**
A: There is some pest control done with pesticides, but the food is safe for consumption and this practice is regulated by the State of MN and the FDA.  If you would like to avoid herbicides and pesticides, organic wild rice, such as a wild harvested Canadian lake wild rice might be a good option for you.

**Q: Is this paddy-grown or wild-harvested?**
A: Our Thousand Lakes Minnesota Grown Wild Rice, is a paddy rice.

**Q: WhAt is the opened and unopened shelf life?**
A: The unopened shelf life is about two years. The opened shelf life is about six months.. Once opened I would transfer the unused rice to an airtight container is will lengthen the shelf life.

**Q: Is there any gluten processed at the facility?**
A: Yes, barley is processed in the same facility.

This Wild Rice is excellent quality and much more affordable than others. I also found that it took less time to cook and was much more tender than other wild rice we have tried.
