Wooden Solitaire

This was a repeat purchase - bought this to keep for my great-grandchildren on their frequent visits and was so impressed with the quality of this game that I ordered the second one to give was a gift. Such a very good polished board that I keep it on my coffee table - it looks so very nice and everyone likes to use it. Very good buy and excellent value for money. If you enjoy a simple game thatlooks really good and gives amusement to a wide variety of people, I would strongly recommend this game of solitaire.

I bought this to guard against bad weather on a recent UK holiday. In the event we had great weather but our kids (5 and 8) asked most days if they could play Solitaire when we got home in the evening. Both got quite good by the end of the week. No screens, no noise - just strategic thinking and manual dexterity development and manageable for 5 and 75 year olds alike. Very pleased I bought a set and this one looks nice and is good quality.

Base looks good and solid but the marbles were just that. Ordinary glass Marbles! I was hoping they would look a bit more special.As this is a gift I was dismayed to see that Amazon had stuck their delivery label on the front of the box. We really struggled to remove it. Whilst I applaud Amazon for reducing packaging, they need to find a way to do so without spoiling the look of a package which is likely to be a gift.

Bare with me on this one:I bought three jars of 50 marbles each from company House of Marbles every marble was colourful and high quality so when I saw house of marbles solitaire game I bought it with no hesitation the wooden board was of very high quality and the marbles were striking to look at,stripey light and dark blue with hints of white and very good quality glass.You get two games to play solitaire of course but you get a game called fox and geese witch is a two player game and it's a very strategic game.

Fast delivery and beautiful product

This is a lovely, well-made marble solitaire. It's solid - heavier than I expected which I love, and it looks lovely to just keep out on a table, and hop in and out of playing it. The marbles are a beautiful shade of blue too, and they come in a velvet pouch. Would definitely recommend it, and will most likely buy it as a present for someone in the future!

I bought the solitaire set to teach the game to my grandchildren as an alternative to iPad games. The only fault with it is either the board gulley is too small or the marbles too big - each time marbles are removed from the board, they fall out of the gulley. I’ve resolved the problem by buying a bag of slightly smaller marbles.

The wooden board and the marbles are well made.
