Men's Seven J Jacket

I was impressed by the quality and feel of this jacket which seems to be both windproof waterproof, whilst being relatively light weight. Very happy, so far, I would certainly consider buying another one. The service and delivery through Amazon Prime was efficient as usual. It's not fleece lined, which I knew that from the advertised description, but worn over a short & jumper it keeps you warm & the elements at bay.

I bought this as my low-priced, very waterproof but rather fragile Frogg Toggs jacket developed some tears after two whole years of use. I'd had a Helly Hansen jacket as a birthday gift from my daughter, but I left it in the cinema, and it walked. Feeling flush and seeing this was cheaper than expected, I bought it. The fit is good, and it's surprisingly warm (okay, it's been a warm patch. It nevertheless seems warmer than its weight and thickness implied). If I find it is not waterproof, then I'll add to this review and drop a star. But my previous HH had kept me dry in very heavy downpours. I expect this will, too.

Fits great. Great wind resistance. Good pockets. Not very breathable. Expect dampness on your base layer. If you get warm you will get wet in it. Still like it though. Will wear when it's really cold and should be okay.

Decent quality from Helly Hansen. The jacket is definitely wind and rain proof. Simple design, but still relatively smart. Only downside is the zips to the pockets, these are tiny things and not always easy pull open or closed.

I somehow managed to get this jacket for £26. Bargain, thrilled to bits with the jacket for that price. My friend asked me to get him one and they had gone up (can't remember how much but close to £50) even more thrilled but if I'd paid £50, not so thrilled. Jacket today, £76.50, gone up £50!!!!!! Not sure what that's all about but I am very happy with my £26 jacket. Do I think its worth £76? Put it this way, I ordered a Berghaus from MandMdirect for around that price and it was clearly a superior jacket (double gortex) and I preferred it but a no brainer for me with a £50 price difference. So, about the jacket in question. Its a Helly, I have a lot of faith in them from experience but I can only give this 5 stars at the price I paid! It's a great jacket for £26 but overpriced at £76. Criticism......nowhere to store hood and only one Velcro fastening inside pocket to supplement the 2 zip pockets at the hip.

I loved getting this HH product for under £40. It looks great and fits well. I can't tell you if it keeps the rain out yet as I didn't get a chance to try it in wet weather. Just so you know, this is simply a rain jacket, so don't expect it to be a warm winter jacket with all the trimmings.

Fits and functions wonderfully. Only con is the size of the zipper, very small. Works great in the rain and in the wind. Easy to pack because it’s a thinner material.

Fantastic jacket for the money! It fits very well, and comfortable to move around in. It is 100% waterproof, it's a must to survive Vancouver rain. It is also quite windproof. The grey style is very sharp, I have received quite a few compliments. It looks like a much more expensive jacket. It does breath pretty well, but not as well as I hoped. At this price there isn't much else that can compete. I would highly recommend this jacket!
