Gentian Root Organic Dried Whole Root - Herbal Tea and Aromatic Bitters

Gentian is a beneficial, medicinal root. This product came exactly as I expected, which was highly aromatic, quite fresh, cut into small chunks, and a good value for the money spent and the quantity I ordered. I bought this for a bitters tincture, and it is exactly what I needed. Excellent quality herbal product, and I will be reordering this again from this seller because it is very hard to know what you're getting on Amazon when it comes to herbs. See reference photos for quality, packaging, and seller information on the label.

As an avid home mixologist, I've found Dried Gentian Root to be an indispensable ingredient in my pursuit of crafting unique flavor profiles. This organic product delivers beautifully on its promise, providing the crucial bitter note that elevates a well-made creation. When combined with other botanicals, the gentian root imparts a distinct and wonderfully balanced bitterness. It's not overpowering, but rather provides a foundational layer of complexity that harmonizes with citrus and spice elements. The resulting blend possesses a depth and character that many pre-made options often lack. Knowing that this is an organic product also gives me confidence in the quality and purity of what I'm adding to my culinary preparations. If you're serious about crafting your own flavor blends and seeking that quintessential bitter backbone, Dried Gentian Root is an excellent choice.

this stuff is potent, and a little goes a long way. bought for the first time to make homemade bitters, and even after a short soak in the alcohol, not even an hour (the bitters recipe calls for steeping at least a week), the flavor was strong and distinct.

I made the mistake of popping one into my mouth and it IMMEDIATELY tasted bitter. My fault for being curious, I guess. I bought them to make homemade bitters and it actually worked! I kindly eyeballed the amount of gentian root but it came out great a few weeks later!! I’m really happy to have bought this even just so I could try making new, complex flavors.

I bought this to make my digestive tincture, I smells fresh and of good quality.

I got this for making a homemade non alcoholic aperitif drink and it works great forgetting the bitter flavor.

great product, delivered on time and was exactly has advertised

I used this to make orange bitters for Christmas gifts, made a great product! It’s easy and convenient and it already comes broken down. One of the best prices on the internet and it comes in a resealable bag.
