Random Access Memories (10th Anniversary)

The original Random Access Memories was already the ultimate audiophile flex record, so the bar for this 10th Anniversary 3LP set was absurdly high. Thankfully, it completely delivers. The pressing is dead quiet, which is huge for an album that relies so much on sudden silence and subtle acoustic details. The separation is incredible—the electronic synths and live instruments stay perfectly distinct, and the low-end punch on tracks like "Lose Yourself to Dance" or "Contact" is incredibly tight without ever feeling bloated. The real draw here is the third disc of unreleased material. Finally getting "Horizon" on vinyl is worth the price of admission alone, and hearing the raw studio outtakes gives you a genuine appreciation for how meticulously engineered this whole project was. If you already have a pristine original pressing, you're mostly buying this for the bonus tracks, but if you don't own RAM on wax yet, this is absolutely the definitive version to pick up.

Incredible album, but by now I think everyone here knows that. The mix and the sound of this particular edition on vinyl is incredible. If you’re a hi-fi nerd, this will let your system really show off. The extra demos and rough studio outtakes included are interesting if you’re a big fan. Always cool to see how a song evolves and turns into its final form throughout the recording process, and the extras let you hear a lot of that. Just a great record all around.

A superb 10/10 album. Fragments of Time and the Infinity Repeating Demo are my two favs from this. I really only bought this so I could have something that reminds me of my long distance boyfriend. Only nick I will say is that there’s a slight age crack on the top of the case. It’s not the typical hard shell plastic case on the majority of CDs. But I will give it the fact that this is almost 3 years old. But other than that, the album itself is a work of art. So many guest singers and the music will make you ascend to heaven. Love the diagram of Guy Man on the first page of the booklet. CDs themselves are in pristine condition. The sticker on the wrapping is a cool touch too, so I decided to put it on the case itself :3

One of the best albums ever, and the bonus disk contains some amazing gems. If you're going to buy this album, this is the definitive version!

This is a semi long review, but I'd highly recomend reading it if you're considering a purchase! I initially ordered this product several weeks ago, and it arrived quickly and in perfect quality. So far so good! However, upon placing it on my turntable, I noticed several skips in the middle of several songs. I played the songs back to make sure that they weren't just flukes, but the skips remained. I was dissapointed, and contacted amazon for a replacement. The process was streamlined and effecient, and they sent me the replacement by the end of the week. However, the replacement vinyl had even more skips! I was severely dissapointed again, and decided to simply request a refund. Just as before, the refund process was effecient and quick, and I receieved the refund by the end of the week. I'm under the impression that this was a very uncommon occurance, as other reviews of this product seem to lack this issue (at least at time of writing). Hence, the reason I'm giving this a 5 star review is not because I personally had a great experience with the product, but rather that I can assure you that if you happen to be one of the unlucky ones who get a sub-optimal copy of this vinyl, you will have ample resources to help you replace or refund it. Truly, this is a purchase where quality is garunteed, or your money back.

What can be said about this album that hasn’t already been said, it’s a true masterpiece.

I am listening this to this for the 2nd time. The songs absolutely great - the extra track’s fantastic- glad to have them. I was wanting to get my hands on the RAM vinyl version but luckily this came out and I decided to pre-order - it took a while to get here even with prime. When I picked it up from amazon counter service I understood why - the original tape came off. Someone put on packing tape over the original tape. I opened it and the media cardboard housing the album itself also wasn’t glued on properly but the album itself was unharmed. Still within the shrink wrap. The quality of the pressing is superb - I must’ve gotten lucky - I just read several reviews regarding bad pressing and skips. This pressing while superb is still slightly not as good as my daft punk discovery album. RAM was just a tad noisier. I am happy to have this copy but am listening again to see if I need to update this review. So far no skipping or warping. Wow or flutter I can detect. Playinf this on an audio-technica at-lp7, jbl 4312g monitors. Amazing work daft punk.

This is easily one of my favorite albums of all time now, and I don't even know how to describe the music that comes in these two CDs. I'm not an expert in music by any means— but you don't have to be a genius to know that this is actual art. I listened to the first disc four times in a row, took a nap, then played the second one and by the third song I was already writing this review. If you have doubts about it, just buy it. It's amazing. First disc got me dancing and having fun, the first few on the second one are so ethereal and majestic I can't even compare them with any other songs I've heard. It's a magical experience. I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone, fans of Daft Punk or not. Their music genre can't be described accurately, and in my opinion anyone can enjoy it and appreciate the instrumentals as well as the lyrics.

Este disco en la versión inicial ya era imprescindible. Es un disco muy bueno que es espectacular cuando se escucha de principio a fin y cuando se escuchan temas sueltos. El sonido y los temas destacan por su calidad sonora y composición. En esta edición doble están las maquetas y versiones que dieron forma al disco, y a pesar de ser maquetas están grabadas de forma profesional y con la misma calidad. Recomiendo escucharlo como un disco a parte ya que tiene varias curiosidades que no son canciones en sí. La edición doble es para seguidores acérrimos de Daft punk. Random Access Memories es esencial para cualquier discografía. Está presentado en carpeta doble de cartón satinado (digipack) y dentro trae eun librito con los créditos y las letras con una presentación muy cuidada.
