Works really well as a metal primer / undercoat. My only criticism would be that it tends to dry a little too fast (literally as you brush it on) if the weather is warmer. But the end results, underneath a topcoat of Hammerite for my wrought iron gates, is brilliant! AND I only had to use one coat of the topcoat too!
