We have a traditional fire pit in our back yard but I’ve always wanted one for our front driveway (as the back yard is huge and a little lonely feeling at times). Very nice to be able to use this and greet neighbors and my kids friends parents as they pick them up etc. Plus the smoke from a traditional fire pit tends to follow me and my kids and makes us all smell like a whole burnt tree. I didn’t even know until recently smokeless fire pits were a thing until I was bestowed that amazing heat deflector for this very fire pit. This is an investment piece that is pure quality-tbh-I probably should have waited until I had budgeted for this piece but with winter upon us I was determined to create budget room and oh boy I am so glad I did! The fire performance is absolutely transfixing, the look is sleek and we put it in our large side garden when we aren’t using it (making it portable as promised). If anyone is wondering about the heat deflector. Just search it up on Amazon as it is separate but really levels it up and spreads heat outward instead of upward. I would enthusiastically recommend the Yukon Solo fire pit to everyone-splurge and if you’re looking this is the one!! Also in case it helps anyone-family of 6 and plenty of heat even sitting a bit back whether we use the deflector or not (it’s just a nice add on!) I will say, if you don’t get the fire roaring you may wonder why you have smoke-I believe in the manual it does explain that in order to work as intended that the fire needs to be going pretty good. Dry out our wood-this helps! If you have wood that isn’t seasoned a good trick is to lay pieces out next to the pit-my family has done this many times with success!

This is the best investment you can make for backyard or camping. I have the 27 inch. Be prepared to FEED it. If running full Highball, you will not get within 6 feet. I made a vertically adjustable grill support for cooking. On top is too hot unless fire near out. If you get the small one, it is perfect for camping and will be PLENTY large enough for 6 people to gather around. The beauty of it......NO SMOKE! Takes 5 minutes or so to get huffing, but then, even if the wind blows your way, it is basically hot air. The metal cover is a must if you do not want to put it out of the rain each time. The bottom WILL fill with water if rained on. Once the fire is near out, pop the cover on and it dies away. I find the best way to start is basically a full load of good wood. Put tinder and cedar in a stack, and fill 3/4 with hardwood. Spark it up. The draft is so good, if you can't get a fire going in this, you shouldn't be playing with matches.

We've used our Solo Stove Yukon five times now ( backyard hangs), and it works exactly as advertised—effortless flames every time. The double-wall design with 360° airflow gets it burning hot and fast, roaring to life in minutes with minimal smoke, even with damp wood. The removable ash pan? Absolute game changer between fires—lift it out, dump the fine ash in seconds, and you're ready for round two. No scraping, no mess, just pure convenience.
