## Description

NO-OX-ID "A-SPECIAL" is the electrical contact grease of choice in new RoHS Compliant electrical installations and maintenance because of its excellent performance in keeping metals free from corrosion. This electrical grease has been used for over 65 years to prevent corrosion in electrical connectors from low micro-power electronics to high voltage switchgear. This conductive grease prevents the formation of oxides, sulfides and other corrosion deposits on copper and aluminum surfaces and conductors can be prevented with its use.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Do you apply to battery terminals before or after connecting?**
A: I've been using NO-OX-ID A-Special since the '80's; the best compound to prevent terminal corrosion. My preferred method is to clean the battery post and terminal, install and tighten the terminal, then apply a generous amount of NO-OX-ID A-Special over everything, including an inch or so of the battery cable. Make sure to get some of the underside of the terminal. If the battery hold-down is metallic, coat it and the J-bolts with the compound as well. They will never corrode again.

**Q: Can this be rubbed into machined surfaces to prevent corrosion as well?**
A: Certainly; you just have to leave a thin film of No-Ox-Id on the surface.

**Q: is this grease silcone base?**
A: Sanchem says NO-OX-ID A-Special has a petroleum wax base.
