It's synthetic Ruby, as promised. You can tell this because it is basically transparent with as-made finish. I use it to make watch jewels. Real raw rubies have inclusions and fractures and are quite weak and need treating before they can be made into jewels. This stuff makes wonderful jewels as-is. Dark red, fluoresces with black light, even color. The picture they gave was the exact item being sold. You work it with diamond. I knocked off the sharp edge so others can handle it without getting cut, it is very sharp!

Synthetic Ruby pretty much as described. I bought this product becauselooked like it was the best value for the money and the best color and good quality. The transparency is very clear & it shows signs of pleochroism from the rounded as seen in the pics. The piece I bought was $32 bucks. It glows hot pink under UV. :-) I would recommend this product to anyone who wants to get their hands on high clarity Ruby they could never afford in a natural ruby. This would be 10’s of 1000’s more had it been mined. It’s totally eye clean at first impressions. Which was expected.. I can’t wait to cut & facet this mofo! :-) We’ll see how it goes. I’ll be to comment on any negative characteristics I find. At first impressions I give it a five star. I got it in one week as well.

It has the exact same properties as the natural stone

I have to give it five stars because it is exactly as described. I was hoping it would be a deeper red and with more transparency, but that is on me. The outside is quite rough to the touch, while the inner surface (where the boule was split) is smooth but uneven and pretty sharp on the edges. You can see a lot more of the color on the split side. A note of warning: if you intend to cut this it has a tendency to shatter. These synthetic rubies have a lot of internal stress.

The thickest portion is not enough to make anything substantial. This slab will only produce very small pieces. The length and width are fine it’s the depth.

Looks good 😌 feels right. Rich cranberry color. I’m just beginning to do lapidary work and this is perfect.

Promised 250ct; recieved a generous weight above 250ct. This is the first seller who has delivered as promised. The piece the sent is half a boule, very good clarity. Even in white light it almost seems to fluoresce. Under UV365 it lights up fantastically. I am excited about this Ruby. I will buy from Gryrigns again.
