Isn't this just a battery operated 5 gallon water jug dispencer typically sold for $15?

I guess you could say that but it does have a magnet at the bottom and when you tap the top it can run for a little bit and shut off on its own. I love it and wouldn’t replace it. It also it not attached to the water jug and has a long hose so you can leave the water in back of the car and have the faucet on your bumper or fender.

Can you use warm water with the Dometic faucet?

No. This is only for dispensing drinking water from a small container.

How does one clean the faucet before first time use?

I wiped mine down with an alcohol wipe and the ran hot water through it
