Did you know more than 50 Moons can fit inside Earth? Or that Mount Everest is 10 times higher than the world's tallest building? Filled with facts that are hard to believe, this book is designed specially for visually impaired readers. Packed with mind-blowing records and facts from around the world described in both large print and braille, DK Braille It Can't be True! also features tactile images for readers to feel what they are reading, from the largest eyeball to the biggest spider. Through the use of detailed embossing, you can feel the world's largest hailstone (three times larger than a tennis ball!) and a bird so small it can sit on the end of your thumb. Fully endorsed by the Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB), DK Braille It Can't Be True will keep you entertained and amazed for hours. Review: Ideal support for someone learning Braille for the first time - Ideal support in the learning process added to which, DK's superb quality as always Review: Superb quality and design. All braille lstudents, sighted and non sighted catered for. - Delightful, superb quality and excellent design. Perfect for me as a beginner, learning to read braille. This book facilitates both younger and older students (myself falling well into the latter!) and I was so pleased at the illustrations and pleasingly laid out text. This is an enduring book that I feel I will use well into my quest to learn the language. I honestly cannot find fault with it. The text is clear, with the raised braille characters for touch, plus the dot overly for the sighted reading braille. It has everything I was looking for, to be honest and I could not be more pleased with the product.

Perfect
Bought for children in the only blind school in The Gambia. Good strong sturdy construction which will hopefully last years and help many children. Also bought the farm book and one other but these seem to be the only ones on the market. Is this all there is for children? Surely not. And what about adult braille reading material appreciating many use audio books/usb if one has access to technology.

Braille and written word makes this a good book to share
This is quite a good book for sharing facts. It enables the sighted person to be able to read along and help if the reader gets stuck.

Excellent book, very easy to feel
Almost everything in the book is raised. E.g. the human hand I have my hand on in the picture has wee pyramid shapes on it so you can feel the comparison between the size of the Goliath spider and an adult hand. I'm the "child" I bought this for, so I can't comment on what age group this good for.

Interesting!
Lovely book, so informative. This was the latest book for my 8 year old and she loves it. It was the last Brailleโs book that I could find for her that is age appropriate, so please make more Braille books for older children please, please, please :)

Terrific book!
I LOVE this book. It had pictures with raised edges for those with sight impairments. Printed and braille words. We bought as part of enrichment for learning about braille with our sighted young girls.

Dots are not raised by a lot
I did not find the dots to be protuding enough. However, I am a sighted individual (bought this item specifically to try to learn to read Braille with my eyes closed) and I bought it used, so it might have been eroded by its previous user.
