Good item

One my fourth pair, I wear them until they rip, normally on the seat/inside leg. They last about a year each (worn 3-4 times a week), and I think that's good value, given that they are comfortable and have some stretch to the fabric. I'm sure a pair of thicker cotton cargo trousers would last longer but they wouldn't be so accommodating of a large lunch or heavy weekend away :-) I wear them dog walking, pub walking and of course dog+pub walking. Lots of pockets, so many in fact you will find yourself doing the house key "Haka" on a regular basis. Yes, the trousers arrived with balled up legs to save on storage and transport costs, all good for the environment. You could iron them, or alternatively wear them for a few hours and they sort themselves out. If you are planning to wear them straight away - maybe for a cheese and wine reception - I'd allow for ironing time, and also reconsider your definition of "smart casual"

I have bought my first one 10 years ago and l am still wearing it ,this new version has minor changes like the metal logo placed on the right cargo pocket and the little square logo on the side of the left knee,cuff straps inside placed differently,old version and new version are both great,these are the best cargo pants for me aesthetically, colour is just like what l have wanted,love' m.Thank you GStar and thank you Amazon.Very happy with the purchase.

The great thing with G Star trousers is that you can really crimp/crease or iron flat these garmets and gain a different look each time. Very versatile and placing fashion aside, the extra pockets really are useful and not just for style. Fit and length based on Straight and Tapered are as expected and fit is comfortable as is movement. These are not skinny not overly loose. Just bang in the middle. Haven't owned them long enough to judge how they wash but there's so much flex in garment that even a minor amount of shrinkage will go unnoticed. Plenty of colours to choose from. As a personal preference, I would prefer more traditional and subtle branding. Not overly keen on the metal G Raw badge. Spoils the product rather than add value to it. Tone on tone branding is better. The more subtle the more interesting.

As expected, great products that fit well, once you get the correct size. I ordered the Shadow Olive C893-b230 pair in a 34" waist, which were too small, so exchanged them for 36". Erratically, the 36" Raven 5126-976 pair I bought next was too big for me. Despite the hassle of having to reorder to fit, these cargo pants are still definitely worth a solid 4* rating, especially if you like the side pockets a little higher than other brands.The only quibble I have is with with the product description - some colours are made with different material than others e.g. the label on the Raven 5126-976 pair states Premium Micro Str Twill (very lighweight compared to the Shadow Olive), which isn't mentioned on the website. The Shadow Olive C893-b230 pair is very heavyweight, as expected from the close-up photo of the material.

Amazing fit and size

Ich bin total zufrieden mit der Cargohose! Hatte sie zuvor schon in Schwarz aus einem Einzelhandel und habe diese in beige nochmals über Amazon bestellt, weil sie so unfassbar bequem ist. Sie sitzt sehr angenehm ohne zu weit zu sein. Ich habe diese Cargohosen gerne an, weil sie anders als die meisten Jeans nicht eng sitzt und dennoch eleganter als so manche andere Cargohosen aussieht. Anders als bei anderen Cargos ist sie nicht 'zu weit' im Schenkelbereich, was den vorteil hat, dass sie von hinten nicht unangenehm optisch wirkt. Die Qualität von Gstar ist auch sehr gut, alle Nähe sind gut ausgearbeitet und es wirkt sehr langlebig. Anhand meiner älteren Hose kann ich bestätigen, dass sie auch nach duzenden Waschgängen ihre Form behält und nicht steif wird. Selbst den Trockner überlebt sie und verliert keinerlei Eigenschaften. Sie ist sehr robust und trägt sich nach wie vor wie am ersten Tag.Ich kann diese Hose nur sehr empfehlen und würde sie jeder zeit wieder kaufen.
