BTArtbox XCOATTIPS Clear Soft Gel Nail Tips, Extra Short Almond, 320 Pcs

I'm new to this hobby, I don't have perfect execution, and prep skills which is why I appreciate that these are pre-prepped. It seriously saves so much time and I don't trust myself to do it right and evenly on my own so I super appreciate this being an option. I will say I'm not soooo new that I don't understand that there are different types of press on nails. I think the reviews that are claiming these are falsely advertised because they are called press-ons without being pre-glued are funny to me. There are different types of press-ons. The term press-on doesn't exclusively refer to pre-glued nails and there's no info in the description that says that they're pre-glued. This is advertised as full "matte" which has to do with them being pre-prepped and etched on both sides meaning there's a little bit of "tooth" to the surface for better adherance to your nails and better adherance of polish. It also says they are "soft gel" nails which means they're made out of a material that is designed to be cured under a UV lamp with a particular gel adhesive. You CAN use glue with them, but they're specifically made for UV application. So they're actually correctly advertised. I didn't do the UV gel method. It's too much for me, I prefer lacquers and I actually get really long wear out of them so I haven't felt the need to switch. I used Fastbond glue recommended my Sally Beauty employees and these things are fantastic. Kudos to them for the rec. These nails feel so strong. I don't have any fear of them popping off. For example I would usually use a butter knife to pop the tab of a soda can instead of risking loosening my nails if I got them done at a salon but with these I just use the nails. I've also been making my own DIY fluid art decals with cheap dollar store nail polish but I use a good base and top coat they haven't been chipping at all. I like that they're thinner at the base of the nail close to the cuticle and get thicker at the tips. They have a more natural look than salon nails while still having a more professionally done look to them. The extra small were perfect for my fairly average length nail beds. I did need to file back my natural nails just a little at the outer corners on a couple. I might try the short almond and coffin ones at some point when I'm feeling fancy but the extra short are perfect for daily wear.

These are the 2nd tips I have tried since I starting to do my own nails and I am hooked. I almost stopped doing my nails with the 1st tips I tried because of the prep work. With these having a matte finish my prep time is nothing! I love the extra sizes it allows me a better fit for each nail. I have only had them on for 2 days but they look and feel very promising. No issues with painting, curing, cutting, filling or gluing on. They are of good quality, very sturdy. Will be repurchasing.

I love these nail tips. I use them with gel polishes to make my own nail sets for myself and my friends. They’re durable, I haven’t had any break on me at any point and they survive being cut and filed if you want them even shorter. They’re also pretty perfectly sized for me, as I have smaller nail beds and not all brands have small enough nails that fit me; and these are just long enough for me to feel fancy but not so long that I can’t function, and I can also trim them down if I need more utility. I’ll continue to use this brand and I look forward to trying other shapes they offer!

I just purchased my third box of short almond nail tips. I have tried a few different brands and these are definitely my favorite. They are the perfect length so I don’t need to file them. I have never had any issues with the tips of the nail breaking or cracking, I did with other brands. I have even used them on friends and family and they lasted them just as long with no issues. It took me a while to learn how to do prep correctly so they wouldn’t pop off a couple days after being done. That was user error, now that I have spent time practicing and learning how to do them properly, they last me 2.5 weeks, which is perfect because I’m usually ready for a change of color by then.

I am a licensed nail tech, and I have TINY FLAT nail plates, so finding tips that fit well and are durable can be a struggle. I’m pretty happy with these. I wouldn’t really call these extra short (see provided photo) but they are pretty and they have been durable during the 10 days I’ve had them on, save for my index finger on my dominant hand. I do nails for a living & constantly have my hands in acetone so I’m not docking points for that! The only complaint I have is that they are not short enough for my baby fingers. I know, I can file them down, but the point of getting XS was so that I didn’t have to. Other than that, I like these tips! They come pre-etched so you don’t need to fiddle with that, they are very easy to size to the nail plate, and I did not use the smallest nail provided which is new for me. Love the different sizes (0-15)! I’ve had no issues with polish chipping off of the top although I DID use a buffing block to etch the surface like I do with any gel-x set. I wish they were shorter because I would buy them again!! I haven’t removed them yet but, to be fair, I don’t use e-files on myself or my clients and I always struggle to hand file gel-x down. These are great for my very short, narrow nail beds. Even the XS almond is a medium to long length on me: depending on the finger, the free edge is 2/3 to the same length of my nail bed. (I'm including a photo of my natural nails as well, so you can see the difference.) I'd wear an XXS if BTArtbox made them! I'd also love to see them offer their French tip line in XS. The quality is great, the 15 sizes cover a wide range, and with 10 sets in the box, it's a great deal. You will also need a UV gel adhesive and a good quality curing lamp. (Or you can use these as regular press-ons and use nail glue or adhesive tabs.) Before you buy, scroll down in the listing and you'll see a diagram with the dimensions. The lengths are different for different shapes (almond and stiletto are longer, square and round are shorter), so select the shape first. It takes a little practice to get the hang of the application, but once you do, they are easy and relatively fast. If you are DIYing these, I highly recommend watching several tutorial videos (google "soft gel tips" and "gel-x") before you try it. I also reading up on gel safety and being careful not to get any gel on your skin. Repeated exposure to HEMA and other gel ingredients can cause acrylate allergies, which can be serious. Liz at The Nail Hub has some great videos on this. I also recommend using a thicker gel in a tube - brush-on gels ran too easily and solid putty-like gels in a tub were too hard to manipulate. I used the Una Gella formula in a tube, but I'm looking for a HEMA-free alternative. p.s. The neon coral gel polish in the gel tips photos is Ditto by Nail Thoughts, and the darker pink on my natural nails is Red Lips by Light Elegance.

If you have been wanting to try doing your nails at home, just go ahead and do it. As a certified frugal lady, I just can’t justify paying more $50 for a basic full set of acrylics. So, I did some research and switched to press-ons. I’ve purchased a few of the Btart nails before and the quality is always top tier. The length of these is perfect for me, I prefer shorter nails as I do a lot of things with my hands daily. Now, I used the Btart 4-in-1 brush on gel glue for these and they are one my nails nice and tight, I fully expect them to last at minimum 10 days. For the color I used a regular nail polish and it went on rather smooth and dried fast, once the color was dried I added a glossy top coat of gel polish, which I had to cure in 4-5 rounds of 60 second intervals. It’s been about three days now and no chipping, peeling, or lifting. I would recommend giving these a try!

I love these! Because of the size options and the length. My 11-year-old daughter likes to paint and decorate the fingernails and wear them when she's not playing sports. They fit her tiny pinky finger and they're truly a short almond shape. The curve of them is comfortable. She and I can share this pack for quite a while.
