Some reviews mention that these pants run small in the waist and to size up. Is this true?

People's bodies are different. My mate buys 36, his usual size--and really likes these pants. He does have kind of a flat butt, which may influence the waist fit.

How much or many sizes are these pants going to shrink after being washed? Most luxury Brands just tightened up a little or half size.

After a few wash cycles mine did shrink a bit. I noticed the shrinkage because the rugged flex pants are sized in smaller increments (waist size), than some other pants. In my case I purposely bought them for the fit and now they are a bit tighter in the waist, I will move up a size in the waist next time. Other than that, I am more than pleased with them, substantial feeling without being bulky or non flexible, pocket selection and placement and the number of belt loops are perfect for this custodian.

J’ai du renvoyer ce pantalon à regret car trop étroit à la taille et l’entrejambe.. une première pour du Carhartt! Eux qui font des tailles américaines dans lesquelles on flotte, là je me suis senti gros :-/ Cela mis à part, j’ai beaucoup apprécié la qualité du tissu, des coutures, la couleur aussi était top… j’en aurais bien recommandé un d’une taille au-dessus mais rupture de stock 😔
