JBL has Knocked this out of the Park !!!
I know I've come late to this party and chances are this will never get read, but let me throw in my two cents anyway. I've been buying gaming headsets now for years. I'm not an expert but any means but this truly is an amazing headset. JBL knocked it out of the park with these. But beware... The learning curve here is excessive...I'm talking about the bells and whistles this came with. When I first got them I hooked them up to my PS5 with the pull apart dongle. (More on the dongle in a few minutes.) Everything went smooth with the set up. I'm not a chat player so my mic arm was thrown up to keep it off. Sorry I cant give my opinion on that. There are two wheels on the left earcups, One for for overall volume and one for chat mix. That didn't take long at all to set up. Before playing, I found the Noise Cancelation button actually by chance at the top of the left cup. It gives you a pleasant On/Off notification. But overall I was not impressed with the NC. I live in NYC where I need that feature for obvious reasons. Maybe I'm a bit spoiled with this since some of my other NC headphones is where I hear nothing at all, But when the playing pauses I can still here the traffic outside. However, while playing I was pretty impressed with the overall quality of the sound. Let me move on here with the feel and comfort. The earcups have a soft leatherette with memory foam. I was a bit worried at first they would make my ears sweat in long gaming sessions. But surprisingly they were so comfortable I hadn't even noticed they were even on with no sweaty ears. As mentioned before, the "Dongle".... When I originally opened the box, I saw a long USB dongle. I said wait, this is supposed to have two. A long and short. I didn't know I had to seperate it in two. I thought the shorter one was missing. I contacted JBL and they told me they would send another. When I figured out I had to seperate it I got back to them to say, I fixed the problem and no need to send an extra. They told me, no worries, we are sending it to you anyway. Pretty Cool, right? But.... aghhhh, When I tried to set up the headphones on my Desktop? That is really where the headaches began. This has always been a relatively easy process with my other headphones and headsets. After getting frustrated with this, it was JBL to the rescue again. But this time I called them to walk me through this. JBL's Customer Service came through again! They were patient, kind and polite and hooked me up pretty fast. Not before long I was on their engine site tweaking my music. My music streaming apps sounded fantastic. However, I got these more for gaming than for music but overall impressed with both. One last item on my already long review, The RGB. I've never been a big fan of RGB so I don't use it but maybe you do. You can shut it off to save on battery life. But if you like it, you can go to the JBL engine and tweak it to your favorite colors. Even though not a fan it did look pretty cool. My final thoughts here. I don't see how anyone can be disappointed with this quality piece of work. Between the Look, the Feel, the Sound and Great Customer Service, JBL has knocked it out of the park !!!

You should know…
These are really about a 4.5 stars for me. If you buy these: 1. Follow the Instructions and setup/tune using the dongle in a laptop/computer before you do anything else! 2. Try to get them on sale. They are often much cheaper than the full price. 3. These are amazing for gaming, very loud and you can tell where the sounds are coming from. 4. I have know idea how anyone is getting 40+hours of charge. Maybe I have the volume too high but they will last long enough for a gaming session. 5. For some reason the volume does not go as loud while watching tv or listening to music compared to gaming. However, they are still loud enough for me. 6. Very comfortable! There are no optional ear cups provided, but these never bother me. 7. Great Mic! My only concern is the mic is not detachable… 8. To me they are one of the best looking headsets out there, and there is an option to turn on/off and adjust the lighting. 9. Some people have commented the sound is too dim; make sure you check the device you are connected to. tv’s and cell phones have audio settings that affect headsets too. Also, plug the dongle back into your computer to use the equalizer to find your preference of listening. 10. Have a great day!

Best headset purchase I made in my life.
Best headset I ever used for gaming on PC. Great noise cancelling, great audio quality, fits my smaller head. Don't weight all to much. Connectivity is flawless, no cord is the biggest game changer for me. The Bluetooth features is incredible and has gone a long way. Needs the dongle to change the settings for the headset from the app on the computer. The design quality seems high quality and don't feel cheap.

Worth the money
The quality is very good. Haven't messed with the noise cancelation much but seems to work well. Battery lasts quite while. They are a bit heavy but that doesn't bug me. I use them mainly for gaming and the sound is very clear. They are a bit pricey but for what you get I think they are worth it.

Decent but Grossly Overpriced
Decent headset but definitely not worth the price, especially if you have a console gaming system. I use these on my PS5: Sound Quality: 9/10 - This was why I bought JBL headset. They are far superior to others like the PlayStation Pulse/Pulse Elite in terms of sound quality. Heavy bass users will love these! And they have excellent sound quality all around. Functionality: 4/10 - Has a ton of features you can’t really use with Console. Firmware updates must also come via PC JBL QuantumENGINE so that adds a ton of issues especially if you have no PC. Durability: 8/10 - Ive had these for a year now and they seem to be holding up great but they feel cheap for the price you’re paying. Battery Life: 10/10 - I don’t think these have died on me once since I’ve purchased. I’ve been on the game 6-8 hours and they still have plenty of juice. Connectivity: 8/10 - This has been my one of biggest gripes for non-PlayStation headsets. They make it so difficult to connect or throw all your other audio/mic settings off however, I did not have any of this with this headset. Overall, they are solid however, they are grossly overpriced. These should’ve been no more than $150.

Audio cord connection unreliable
Audio quality is great for Google Meet. Haven’t been able to get audio or microphone to work yet when plugged into phones using the audio connections. Best case I’ve had so far is right ear audio.

Great Headphones, Honored Warranty
These headphones work great. They quit charging about 8 months into us owning them and could not be updated or charged. customer service was great and they honored the warranty and sent us a new set of headphones free of charge, we just had to send the other set back, again free of charge. Would definitely buy again

I thought these would be great after my JBL 610s kicked the bucket, but no. $300 for muffled garbage is not what I was expecting. The build quality is great but I can justify spending $300 for $30 sound quality.

I love the sound but for some reason the rgb no longer lights up :( can someone reach out to me? I’ve only had this for 2 or so months (maybe even just 1 month)
