Very nice EDC knife....
I have found this Cold Steel model to be an excellent, light duty, edc knife choice. By my measurements, it weighs only 2.43 oz and is 3.75" closed with a 3" clip point blade in respectable SK-5 steel. The blade was very sharp out of the box. This knife feels robust, being constructed with screws, not pins, along with stainless steel bolsters and liner. There is no clip; but, in my opinion, it rides easy in the pocket. On mine, the fit and finish is excellent with a centered blade and a smooth transition from scales to bolster with no back spring gaps. I particularly like the combined slip-joint, liner-lock design which provides a solid, secure lockup with no blade play or wobble. With a little oil and use, the "walk and talk" has become quite smooth with a satisfying "clunk" when closing or opening. It does take two hands to open and close this knife. However, the blade, which is evenly ground on both sides, has a deep nail nick which is easy to use. Also, on mine at least, it can be pinched open. There is no half stop but the knife feels easy and safe to handle. In summary, I've seen less attention to design, detail and quality control on much more expensive knives; and therefore, I would recommend the Ranch Hand to anyone looking for a budget friendly edc option. Hope you find this helpful.....

Super thick, super sharp, great little knife
Reminds me of a beefier version of a pocket knife my grandfather had. This thing is built for work and keeps it's edge very nicely. I'm pretty hard on my tools and so far this little thing has stood up to way more than it should have. I'm incredibly impressed with the durability and build. It takes both hands to open it, but I prefer it as it's hard to accidentally open in your pocket. Looks are secondary to function for me, but this little thing looks pretty and feels great in the hand. Will be ordering more once Hanukkah rolls around.

Blade is fine at best
Hilt quality is terrible. Elmers glue is not the proper adhesive to use on metal. With how easily it comes apart I can only assume it’s Elmer’s glue for kids

Excellent Value…
This is a very nice lil slip joint for the money. It’s the perfect size, super lightweight and comes with a surprisingly nice sheath. If the Ranch Boss II is too big for you this is the one to get. Awesome lil blade for $35

Sturdy , No Nonsence
A sturdy and all metal pocket knife. The blade is clip point and comes fairly sharp at arrival. The nail nick and liner lock serves its' purpose for opening and closing.

These will rust!
The knife is sharp! However, they rust easily. The spring holding this knife shut does not need to be nearly as strong as it is. And the release to fold the knife is not ergonomic at all. Sad. I usually love Cold Steel knives.
