Alpi the Soul Sender Vol.1 Paperback – October 10, 2023

I really enjoyed this story! The gods are interesting and I'm invested in Alpi's development. Just took a star off for the production quality of the book; could have used thicker pages.

Young Sender Alpi braves the painful effects of the cursed rot generated by nature spirits, following in her beloved parents' footsteps as she retraces the journey they never returned from. The curse reminds me of Princess Mononoke, further reinforced by the greed of those who would exploit nature for personal gain. The translation is a bit rough in places, but the character design is beautiful and the small-town fantasy architecture and townspeople with different traditions makes for solid world building. I'll definitely pick up volume 2!
