4 x Heatsink Mount Pin for Intel Cooling Fan LGA 775 Socket
Bought these Heatsink clips to replace the old clips on a old LGA775 CPU Cooler. Does the job okay although i prefer to have a backplate and screw the cooler down to the backplate so it wont bend the board like it does with clips.

Works perfectly on a Q6600 LGA 775 with Ninja Scythe heatsink
Works perfectly on a Q6600 LGA 775 with Ninja Scythe heatsink. Perfect replacement fit. It does feel a little unoriginal but it is a replacement so no complaints on this.Just need to be very careful when removing both white and black plastic to assemble on the heatsink. First, practice on the old ones by removing them from the heatsink. There is a definite back and front for the black plastic. To remove, use a flat precision screw driver and do not use force but just a gentle pry upwards so loosen the white part so they can be separated. Insert into the heatsink and then connect both black and white parts together. This is where it can get tricky. Make sure the notch matches the front of the black part and in unlock position, it is always to the right when the sharp black point is facing downwards. Push them together and there will be a click.

Beware and take care
The snap-on clips as supplied by Ascot City were preassembled (why, for heaven's sake?). Separating the two halves is very fiddly ... I had to use a 1 mm jeweller's screwdriver ... with a very real risk of damaging the fragile black plastic retention arms. Normally these things are sold unassembled ... the assumption being that what mutt has once joined together no man can put asunder (except with a pair of snips). In fairness the photo did show the mounts already assembled. If you know what I'm talking about then you know what I'm talking about. Annoying.

Essential Parts to Have Around
These plastic pins are one of the weak links in computer DIY and good idea to have spares of them around. If you're installing CPU heat-sink and fan - unless you are using precision robotic arms and associated gadgets - chances are these pins bend and eventually break off. Happened to me but fortunately I didn't have to wait for these to arrive as I had an old heat-sink from which I borrowed one of these pins (yes, saved the day!).Also excellent price for what they do! As always Amazon was first class with the delivery - no pun intended.Essential parts to have around for repair, and more so for those who build computer from motherboards.

Excellent product
After breaking the heat sink pins whilst cleaning my pc I needed replacement one's ASAP. I purchased these ( 1 order = 4 pins) and was pleasantly surprised of the quality. They are just the same as the ones that come with the Intel heat sinks and do the job perfectly.
