Love this machine! Makes soda & sparkling water w/ ease. No electricity required. Saving so much $$
Can't believe I haven't reviewed this already. I got it with points from a credit card company just because I wanted to try it. It took me a few times to get it right because I didn't read the instructions, but it does come with them. Hubby finally taught me how, as did trial and error. Make sure the bottle is sealed when you turn it counter clockwise to attach to the machine before hitting the "fizz" carbonation button or it will spray/overflow. Now I wait till I hear the click and it won't turn anymore. The bottle gives you the info right on it for how high to fill with water (28 oz) and how much syrup to add. It carbonates well, but don't hold the button too long! We have been experimenting with less sparkle for various add-ins, and are now making fizzy water as well as soda drinks. The machine is versatile like that. You can do your drinks the way you like them, so I feel like we're saving a ton of money when you consider the sparkling water in the store is over $1 per. I can add any flavors I like. We've done Cherry Pepsi, and citrus orange, but yesterday I made lime and it was awesome too. Doesn't take long to make stuff, there's just a bit of noise and it's not intolerable. I like that the machine is letting you know it's working. It's smaller than our espresso maker, so pretty slender, and since it doesn't need a cord/electricity, you can put it anywhere, not just on the coffee station. I feel like it's a great value for the money, not just because I got it with points, but because it's been weeks now and I haven't had to buy any soda. AMAZING product for the price. There are only 2 of us here, and we make one or two bottles a day, and it's not run out yet. Not sure how it will be to replace the carbonation bottle, but wish I had a second fill bottle, so we could keep both soda flavor and sparkling water on hand at all times. A++ love it. Neutral color tones. Easy to keep clean.

Simple carbonator.
I bought this one for my workplace. Just your average sodastream unit. Works well enough. Hard to mess up such a simple device, just make sure the bottle is screwed in all the way.

When putting in a bottle, turn to the right until you hear a click
If you donโt do this, you will have a mess and Water will be all over. I guess that is the chief complaint about this device. But you gotta be smarter than the device and actually turn it to where it is sealed before turning it on. one complain on this is that when you go to put pelletized dry ice in the bottle it has a slow leak. I guess thatโs how they get you to buy more of them. You gotta love how people just spend more money on their products. I like this device, but I wish that it would take the blue canister instead of the pink one, the pink canister is designed to leak, causing you to buy another canister at $37 I donโt know about you but I go through a canister every two weeks. They should make restaurant ones for households just thought I know not many people would buy it, but I would depending on the fact if it might be

leaks and loses carbonation after about 30 days of use
This thing worked for about a week. At first, it started leaking when blasting air into the bottlesโwater was continually leaking onto the counter. I tried multiple hacks. At one point, I figured out it was one of the new bottles that I'd bought because it was getting a bad seal. Replacing it partially fixed the issue, but I also had to lower the water levels. Now, after a month of use, the bottles get next to no carbonation. I don't get it. The prior model we had lasted about 5 years. Now this one is shot, and I'm just a couple of days past the return window. So disappointed...

It actually works
So, it does what it says it does. I tried the single packet that are like crystal light and it doesnโt mix well because the water is cold. When l put it in the bottle and mix it up with the machine it is fine. I think the liquid drops would taste and mix better with the cold water. I did 5 to 6 pumps and it was strong, you have to twist it off slowly or it will come spring out like a coke that was shook.. l will update soon when l use it more. I think people who are having issues with leaks are holding down the button to long. It's a learning curve, bc it happened to me. I like mine strong, so l pump two times and let the bubbles settle, then l pump two more time and let the bubbles settle, and then l do one more pump. When l'm done l take it off slowly, so it don't come spilling out. That has worked for me. The only issue l'm having is finding the right flavor that taste good. If anything changes l will update. I might try to do a video. Update:l'm still loving it. Not sure if this is saving money, but l no longer drink soda which is helping me lose weight. I bought the smaller bottles and prefer those over the big one. N

it don't hold carbonation like you would think
i like my soda stream except for one thing. the water doesn't stay carbonated for mare than a few hours. drink goes flat in just a few hours and i cant recarbonate it because it has the flavoring in it and it can reach the nozzle. i even use the special bottles made for soda stream and they dont hold the carbonation. that is the only reason i changed my star rating from 5 to 4

Works great. Simple to use and store.
Good so far. I like that it doesn't take electricity. No cords mean I can leave it in a cupboard where we can use it, but it's out of the way.

Love it love it ๐
Love love love this! Too bad the canister only lasted me a 13 days, but I called soda stream and they are sending me another for free bc they said it wasnโt properly filled and shouldโve lasted longer closer to 3-4 weeks on avg. so canโt wait to get more canisters. I had ai do some calculations to determine if buying pelligrino was more cost effective or if I was saving money with this. Ai determined I was saving like 200-400 a month with this machine and that machine paid for itself the first week. Yes you can make water taste like pelligrino I add a dried lemon slice and itโs the best thing ever!

Slim and Space Saving
I was tired of going to the dollar store four times a week for soda water, but I have precious little counter space for a big Soda Stream. Thankfully, this one is the narrowest one they sell, and fits between the microwave and the fridge. Easy peasy.

Idiotic design
What an utterly and completely idiotic design. Before, the cannister screwed in, and the soda bottle was quick release. Now, the soda bottle screws in and the cannister quick releases??? Why? Why? Why? What absolute brick thought that up? You change the cannister maybe once a month, what the hell is the point of that being quick release? Every time you use the bottle it's wet, either from filling it up or from the condensation of the cold water, so you're fumbling with it trying to get it to screw and unscrew and it's a complete pain in the ass. And every single model is now like that!! What the hell for! Just to force us all to buy the new cannisters? Is that literally it? After one of the cheap crappy plastic pieces this thing is made of breaks I'm never buying a sodastream again. I'd rather go back to lugging home cases of club soda.
